A Full-Length, Comprehensive Walkthrough of Spiral Knights, from Recruit to Vanguard

This is an idea I have had for a long time, and now I have finally decided to go ahead and start it. I am going to take a character from Recruit all the way to Vanguard, and try to capture as much of it as I can.
If you are interested, go ahead and see it, the first couple episodes will be mainly the very first missions, so they will be a little slower and have a more tutorial feel to them.
I am also open to suggestions for the series. Hope you all enjoy this series!

Episode 4 is coming in a couple hours! YouTube takes forever to upload for me, so uploading takes at least 2 hours.
Also, I can't hesitant to tell you all watching this that, if you have any suggestions, please tell me! I should start getting better at this whole YouTube deal, and maybe even get editing software, so that the quality of the videos can improve. But, if you have literally ANYTHING you want to tell me, you can put it here or mail me @Sa-Dude, or put it in the comments of the videos I am making. I have already had some great suggestions from people, and I would like as much input as I can for this series.
Also, I am considering making a PK farming tutorial vid, since that is coming up :)

Gear suggestion
I suggest making a loadout with cutter (aiming for dread venom striker) and wolver set (aiming for skolver set or maybe snarbolax)
as a side weapon you should craft graviton vortex
your drakon barrier skill will combo well with the close melee fighting style of dread venom striker
and drakon firebolt can be used to reach switches so you don't need a handgun with you

Thanks for your suggestion! I actually was considering having a cutter-type in my overall loadout. I am not so sure about the skolver set though, not because it is a bad idea (it would fit the striker well), but because I am trying to look for a loadout that is unique and does not use the stereotypical armor/weapon sets that are so commonly used in SK.
Is nice to have a suggestion though, and again I appreciate it.

Hello guys, apologies for 0 uploads as of late. Don't really have an excuse for it, but i'll get to that in 1 sec. First off, as most of you playing Spiral Knights know all too well, the time is here for grinding to begin so that Rillight can progress as a character. I have said I want to capture as much of this character experience as possible, but the sheer volume of grinding that will occur is a little daunting to record. As I have said in previous video comments, my upload speed is absolute trash, so I have to go to my local gym in order to upload these videos efficiently. I can still record these grinding sessions, but they will mostly be me running through Arcade or bosses to get crowns for ranking up. This is where I SERIOUSLY need some of your opinion's here. I can record them if you want, and you can see everything that happens on this character. Option 2 would be for me to simply upload the missions, do not showing grinding that occurs, and perhaps sum up what happened for grinding in the description of the video or a description at the beginning of the video? Option 1 means pretty regular content, as I will uplaod a lot so that I can get the grinding done, and with Option 2, the videos will be more sporatic, but it will not be a huge influxe of vids on the channel, and you will get to see a streamlined version of how RIllight progresses. PLEASE tell me of your opinions, as if not I will have to pick one of them, and honestly it will probably be Option 2, simply for the sake of convenience on my part. Leave a comment here or shoot me a mail on RIllight with your suggestions.
As for not uploading, I'm just going to pull the "I'm a student applying to college and so I procrastinate on these things so yeah" card. It is true though, as I like doing this, but when I come back from school I prefer to do other things. BUT I promise to start getting a schedule regulated so that it is a littel easier on both me and you as viewers.

Episode 14 is out now! Mainly is just the preliminary missions leading up to the Hall of Heroes and that mission itself. Also just so you all know, the next Episode will have me looking a little different because I did some Tier 1 grinding to get all of the items I wanted before the missions after HoH.

Episode 15 is out. You will notice I look a little different, because I did do as I said I would and did some farming on the side before releasing this episode, and am mainly experimenting with what gear I would like to have on this character in the long-run.

Oh look...I'm alive.....
Hello everyone, sorry for not uploading for almost a month, had various commitments to attend to throughout the month and had no real energy to upload. I am back now! Videos will start resuming again very soon, I actually have 2 episodes right around the corner for you all.
A little update on Rillight's progression: I am currently in quite the dilemma as to just how I want him to progress in terms of gear. I was thinking of this loadout: Skelly Set, Owlite shield, Sudaruska, Amputator, Hunting Blade, and maybe a pola variant.
But, I have been doing some thinking as of late, and kind of want to just follow through with the cobalt set instead. I know that this is kind of boring, but I am definitely considering it, partly because I have never actually done this, and because I would like this series to not be too drawn out once grinding has to occur.
The problem with all of this derives from the simple fact that I am a tiny YouTuber. I seriously appreciate the traffic that has happened on my channel, but there are few people who have recommended anything to me, and as such I am making most of the progression decisions based on personal ideas. If suggestions do happen, I would love it, but as this has not happened, I believe I will be going forward with cobalt, for convenience's sake.
If any of you have suggestions or have some ideas to help suggestions flow into the channel, let me know. Seriously. This character is almost at the point of crafting 3* gear, and once that happens the only way to change it would require my main character's interference with money to do so.

Some thoughts
I think solo gameplay on a new knight might not be entertaining enough to watch all the way through, it's pretty slow paced.
You could consider doing commentary as well, but if you were interested in that you probably would be doing it already. There are some easy things you could do to make it more interesting though.
I think playing in public parties would be more fun to watch and more fun for you to play. It'll show new players that they can make use of public parties and the party finder to get groups. And even if a vanguard joins and makes it a bit easier, it can still be cool to watch if you are keeping up with the action (even if you are just collecting loot, as long as you record the monsters getting blown up it'd be ok). Having random players join will keep the footage varied.
I don't think you need to show every single mission either and do grinding off screen. I think it can be fine to do a few missions off screen once in a while and instead show a grinding session when it has a clear objective (e.g. you need 5 of material X and 1 advanced orb so you start up a stratum 2/3 run with many levels that can drop your material). And when you decide on a place to farm for your materials, check the party finder if there's any public parties farming those levels already. You could even decide to do solo-grinding off-screen and record when there is a party on party finder. I would also consider cutting out some loading screens.
I still think you should craft a graviton bomb just to have some combo potential with all your other weapons. As for a shield I would recommend omega shell cause I don't see it used often and it's a good allrounder. For armor I would pick 1 piece that has fire resist at least so that you can later also use fang of vog at least once without getting burned to a crisp.

Finally......
Episode 16 is finally out! I know that this follows the same form as the other vids, but there is one more episode.
I will be sending out an announcement after the next episode as the major changes that will be happening on Rillight and the channel. There will be some relatively small things for Rillight, but some big, streamlining changes to video format and text.
