So you want to make more Money in Spiral Knights right? Well here's how to make the most of your runs! This guide has been compiled from TODAYS meta and market. All strategies listed here DO in fact work and I have tested out every single one of them. I'll be going through where to make the crowns. WARNING: This guide is about maximizing profits so it will go into the auction house. That means that it won't be 100% consistent. The methods here do work most of the time though.

Materials and Monster Drops
Before we look at which levels to run we're going to be taking a look at what people are crafting and what we should be after. The most commonly crafted pieces of gear are as follows: Brandish, Autogun, Magic Cloak & Hood, Wolver Coat & Cap, Swifstrike Buckler. These are the meta pieces of equipment and veterans are constantly telling new players to craft these lines of weaponry. So, what does that mean? Well Beast Materials are in the most demand, however other materials are also pretty high in demand. Here's a list of the most demanded materials and their worth. These all sell in the auction house very consistently
- Crest of Ur: Sells fairly consistently for 1-2kcr each.
- Primal Ore: Sells sometimes for 2-3kcr each.
- Dragon Scale: Sells sometimes for 2-3kcr each.
- Warp Dust: Sells in almost every listing on the Auction House for between 1.5-2kcr each. (In fact, out of hundreds of warp dusts, I've only had 2 unsolds!)
- Rock Salt: Sells fairly consistently for 1-1.2kcr each.
- Monster Bones: Sells fairly consistently for 500-1kcr each.
- Zee Cores: Sells fairly consistently for 400-600cr each.
From my experience researching the best farming methods, those are the best selling materials. One more thing to note. Slimes can drop this rarity called a "Golden Slime Coin" this is used in the normally monthly event Golden Slime Casino. Where you can spend Golden Slime Coins or Crowns to gamble for Crowns and Slime Lockboxes. IF you only use Golden Slime Coins you will make 100% profit off of these things. The minimum worth of a Golden Slime Coin is 100cr, but the casino can give back up to and sometimes than 5kcr per coin!!!
Do NOT buy Golden Slime Coins for anymore than 200cr, that is a huge rip off. This is because Golden Slime Coins are sold by the Golden Slime Casino for 200cr. Now that you know what the best drops are, let's look at some levels.
Level Overview
Arcade
Alright, first we're going to start off with Arcade, the most commonly played game mode. After reading what I wrote above, the best levels to play of course are beasts and slime levels. Slimes giving you Golden Slime Coins, and Beasts giving most of the materials that are highly demanded. Slime stratums also have starlight cradle levels which are sleep stratums. So if you're looking for the best profit you know where to go. I almost forgot, Basil Recipes. These are the highlight of any arcade run. There are a few recipes that are always in demand no matter how many years the game goes on. Here's a list and their worths. I would advise avoiding 4 star recipes.
- Elemental, Piercing, and Shadow Blaster = 6-8kcr each
- Kilowatt, Flaming, and Freezing Pulsar = 7-9kcr each
- Twisted Targe = 8-12kcr each
- Twisted Snarble Barb = 8-12kcr each
- Dark Chaingun = 8 - 13kcr each
- Wildfire, Permafroster, Barbarous Thorn Shield and Polaris = 30-40kcr each
These recipes are the most consistent from my experience and I advise you pick them up whenever you see them!
Missions
Each boss mission drops a token after you defeat the boss, between 3 and 4 tokens if you were there for the entire run. These can be redeemed at brinks for various items. There are a few boss redeemable items that are indeed demanded and people will like to buy them from you. Don't redeem the boss material from Royal Jelly Palace, the Rock Salt is a better deal. Also for FSC, you can just redeem the Ancient Plate and sell that for 30kcr.
Heres a list:
- Snabostuffing (SNARBY) 3-4kcr each.
- Rock Salt (ROYAL JELLY PALACE) 1-1.2kcr each.
- Schemer Scrap (TWINS) - 20-28kcr each.
- Pulsar (TWINS) 30 - 45kcr each.
I've done the math so that you don't have to. FSC beats out everything if you've optimized it. HOWEVER, if you're getting consistent sells with Schemer Scrap, it will be slightly faster than FSC. Note that it may take longer for you to see the profit as you have to sell an item, rather than getting the crowns immediately.
The Gauntlet can also be done to obtain a variety of materials, as that level can drop almost every material in the game! It also pays out about 3-4.3kcr per run.
The Prestige Mission "Nature of the Beast" is the best mission for farming Beast Materials.
Auctioning
Now that you have acquired the goods that you're going to sell, how exactly do you price them? Well you're going to be using the Auction House. ALWAYS use 2 days in length, more people will see your item when you do that and you increase your odds of selling. NEVER do bids only for small items, people want items instantly and doing this greatly risks your item going for a real cheap price. As for what to price at, I would make the bids the minimum price or a little less that I've given you and the buy out a little less than the max price. People won't be buying for max price all the time so it may be a good idea to wait. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Do NOT flood the auction house with your valuable item, this often satiates the demand before more demand can come in, resulting in a lot of unsold mail. Auction the items in moderation for the best results.
Additional Tips
- These methods have been extensively tested and I've been doing them for months, they do indeed WORK.
- There are other materials that sell but they sell so rarely that I figured it wasn't worth mentioning them, feel free to experiment though
- Remember to have fun
Sadly I have never seen a pulsar sell for 30-45kcr. Typically you can see one in the auction house with a buy price of 20k. I'm a bit confused about all these prices.
