UV Accelerator - an interface, which when provided by a piece of equipment and some arbitrary preset amount of funds/energy, would raise the UV of the item one level.

UV Melder - an interface which would take 2 pieces of equipment and would transfer the UV from the second item to the first item; the second item should be destroyed in the process.

Justification for addition:
- Give something for end game players to spend energy on.
- Will not remove the need to craft gear for UVs, since you will still need items to meld to existing gear.
- Allows players to further customize and improve their current gear.

Another thing I'd like to add

Also sometimes equipment with develop UVs on the 4* and 5* combine which are undesirable. For example, I have a Toxic Atomizer that now has a vs. Beast Damage Low. I'd love to be able to fuse on a different UV (preferably CTR), before I throw down the CE to make it a venom veiler.

If these ideas are implemented I imagine that CE usage and sales from veteran players would increase dramatically as they try to min/max their current gear.

A UV accelerator and melder

A UV accelerator and melder would severely decrease the rarity of getting certain UVs on specific piece of gear. This may or may not be a bad thing, but IMHO it would be bad to decrease the rarity of these items. It would also allow people to produce items that could sell for obscene prices; more so than what an unbound Faust/Avenger would sell for right now (a few million crowns).

This is what would eventually happen:

Craft large quantities of Haze Bombs (1*), which only costs 10 energy and 200 crowns, and suppose 5% of every 100 crafted produces a desirable UV; i.e. if you spend 1000 energy crafting Haze Bombs, 5 of them would have a desirable UV. You mass craft these to get specific UVs (ASI, CTR, bonus damage vs. X) and then meld them with favorable weapon of your choosing, which, say, would be a 2* sword having a crafting cost of 50 energy and 400 crowns. Even if you made the cost of the melder 3000 energy, you would still probably be able to sell this item for far more than it cost to craft and meld it, depending on the UV. If you wanted an armor UV, you simply replace Haze Bomb with a 1* armor to mass craft. This would continue indefinitely because 1* items require few materials to craft, and these materials are plentiful and easy to obtain.

For players who already have

For players who already have 5* items the cost/benefit of creating a second copy of the same item for the chance at a UV is very low. Players would however be more willing to improve their current gear.

Yes, items with desirable UVs would sell for considerable amount more than items with terrible UVs. But it won't just people who have abnormally good luck who have access to theses items. In a free market the price will depend on supply and demand. There will be no barriers to people crafting the gear that they want. Only a fool would buy a piece of gear for much more energy than what they could make it for themselves. In that way this system is fair.
