To clarify the implementations of this post (http://forums.spiralknights.com/node/1228), if you are in the clockwork at the time of the change in peers, you are reset to Haven. This includes if you are at a Crossroads.
I see a few problems with this. While it might not be as much of an issue during a preview event, and in my case, I was running off of ME at the time, it presents a few huge negatives for players to be booted back to have.
1. If we're trying to get higher star gear (such as 4 star gear) in order to access Emberlight, a lot of those recipes are offered at the Emberlight anteroom. Being kicked out halfway through a run is troublesome.
2. The further into a tier you go, the more profitable the floors. Again, energy and time lost.
3. Energy represents money, especially when running directly off of CE. As such, I can foresee problems when the game goes into production when it becomes necessary to reboot servers.
So, is there any way to, when rebooting servers, either migrate players to the next level on their new server (or if at a Crossroads, load them at the Crossroads) or grant a pass so that the next time they play they can restart on the level they were kicked from?
Also, for those who missed it, you get a 10, 5, and 2 minute warning. Thankfully my next floor was a Crossroads, so I just chilled there to see what was going to happen.

Clearly these shutdowns won't be done unless the peers happen to crash on their own or we absolutely have to take them down for some reason. But this won't happen very often at all. We're more likely to have more frequent reboots due to new releases.
But we'll want to make the shutdown message more clear so players know what this is and what to do next.
And it would be ideal if a party can be moved to another peer instead of returning to Haven when a peer shuts down, but that is non-trivial and may take some time to get done.
