Linux install script is broken.

Trying to execute it results in bash: ./spiral-install.bin: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Text file busy.

Nope, it's good.
Perhaps at first you accidentally opened it with the text editor instead and the process was still running when you tried to execute it correctly?
