well i had an idea for us to be able to alchemize mist tanks... i know you're using energy to be able to store energy but just hear me out.
i remember seeing a thread a few weeks ago mentioning how we rarely get any mist tanks, and i recently went through all my materials that i have atm. i've done a ton of jk runs so i have abit of gel drops, cores, and scrap metal... why not use some of the jelly and metal items to make mist tanks with? the jelly items could be explained that it helps hold the mist energy inside.

the thing is though, when the mist tanks are alchemized they are empty and you have to fill them.(gives the person wanting to go away on vacation time to craft enough tanks and just log in once a day and fill that day's mist tank). since we are limited to 100 mist energy a day if we do this it gives some of us the abilty to continue playing without too much need for spending money or to save our crystal energy for recipes rather than for elevators and gates

give me your thoughts on this

bump

bump. sorry if this type of thread has already been made but sometimes old ideas need to be refreshed and thought over again.

EDIT: also the mist tanks will be refilled by the person that made them. you cant just make energy from nothing!
(yes i realize that this part requires more coding but it will bring some balance rather than rich people immediately crafting and selling tons of mist tanks)
(sorry rich people)

how about it takes 120 energy

how about it takes 120 energy to alchemize a non tradeable full mist tank plus mats and crowns ?

So you spend 120 energy to

So you spend 120 energy to get 100 energy? Why would you do that?

Have it cost 100 energy. Think of it as banking energy to the future. You'd use up a whole day's worth of ME today to get a day's worth of ME tommorow. But it would need a recipe (not a cheap one), and materials (probably a lot of them...15-20 each of each crystal, plus other stuff), and crowns (say...10k?). That way you are noticeably out of pocket for the energy.

at first

I think the mist tanks will only be about 50 me to craft it(just like a 2* weapon or armor) but there will be higher material costs and maybe higher crown cost. 50 me cost still allows you to make 2 empty mist tanks per day. but you will still need to fill it on another day so in essence that would require 150 energy to utilize the mist tank. but also whenever 3rings wants to give out mist tanks as a promotional they can still do it because we will still value getting that free mist tank

NOTE: in order to fill a mist tank your me must be at 100
EDIT: this is mainly for people who consider themselves f2p and still want to gather their me on days where they are away from their computer
2EDIT: also the mist tanks will probably never become tradeable so that rich people cant hoard them and cause their prices to go through the roof like with the energy market.

I Like it, but...

Say you don't know when you're going away and something suddenly arises and you've spent all your ME for the day, it is going to cost you crowns to buy CE to craft immediately or you lose your free ME. This would essentialy mean we're back to square one because it's encouraging people to trade CE through market again...meaning inflation, meaning it would never stabilise at a reliable price. I think trading through market should be a resort for crafting purposes. There are enough energy sinks without trying to create more. Everything in this game that is worth doing involves energy. What we need are more crown sinks, so that prices don't go through the roof, like you said.

But that might just be down to micro management of your ME and the knowledge to always craft spares. but still, that means it limits you to staying away for about 2 days...IF you can refrain from actually doing anything on SK for a day to craft those tanks to begin with.
