Greetings fellow Knights!
For the past few months I've been working pretty hard on a project that I had on my heart for a while now.
And now it is finally in a state where I want to announce it! (I am still gonna continue working on it though)

I rebuilt the Town Square of Haven and uploaded it on VRChat!
That means, that you can now walk around in Haven in First Person!

You don't need a VR Headset to play VRChat! VRChat is free on Steam

What is VRChat?

VRChat is a free game, in which you can walk around as a custom avatar in a custom world, and talk with friends and strangers alike.

And now you can walk around in Haven in First Person in VRChat. (Its quite an immersion, seeing it from Topdown for 9 years and now its First Person, or even VR)

I also created some Spiral Knights Avatars that you can freely choose from, so that you also look like a proper Knight.
You can make a happy face with the Avatars if you make the "Victory" Emote, or if you press Shift + F5 if you're on Desktop.

I may also plan to make personal knight avatars on commission, but i dont know when, how fast or if it will be entirely free of charge.

So, how to get there?

If you have VRChat installed and everything, go to Worlds and search for Haven or Spiral Knights, the world is called "Haven - Spiral Knights".
Unfortunately it won't be the first result, but if you scroll through a bit, you should find it. The picture of the world shows the fountain and the auction house.

(You still need to install VRChat before that tho)

FAQ:

Are these the original models of the game?
As a starting point yes, but since the game is developed in 2.5d, which means you could never see the backside of anything, all the models didn't have a backside.
That means, that most of the models are adjusted a bit so that they are suitable to be seen from all perspective. (Also some UV Map changes)

Are these the original textures of the game?
Yes, besides the textures where the hue is alternated via code.

Are these the original animations from the game?
Nope, all of the animations are handmade by myself.

Is it an exact rebuild of the original?
I tried to do it as similar as possible, but some parts were very poorly and lazily done by the developers.
I changed these parts a bit so that it looks good from all perspective and not scuffed.

Will there be the other parts of Haven aswell?
Maybe idk. I could see myself doing the Bazaar, but i doubt I'll do the Arcade or the Garrison.

Other Levels of Spiral Knights?
Possibly.

How long did it take?
I think I worked on all of this for around 4 months and invested like 200-400 hours. (Corona quarantine really helped me speed up the process)
