Terrible change! This is only gonna result in players mails being spammed to all heck, possibly losing important mail in the mess of spam by accident. Please revert this!

I can get like, bids over 100k, but this kind of crashes incentive to use the auction house for bidding en mass. If anything this would be a good feature if it could be turned on or off, or we had a "collect all" button in the mail, but with the current mail system this just floods our mail and prevents us from seeing actual mail from other players, which is often way more important than knowing you got outbid on 7 warp dusts for 200 crowns each.

What you are all missing is the possible positive effect this change had. I think it might have something to do with the fact that ah glitched and didnt give cr back to the outbid player. You're all very quick to stomp on Grey Havens.

I wonder if the probably one person who complained about getting outbid and not seeing it is happy.

I have a lot of respect for Grey Havens since they maintain Spiral Knights for us, but honestly, a chunk of that respect is gone now because of the Auction House update.
The update might result in many giving up on bidding. Many products will be sold for lower prices and it might be that less people will buy energy to convert to crowns.
There are many flaws and Grey Havens might make a loss of players and income because of this update.

I thank you sincerely for the efforts you are doing, but please make an effort into listening to what your community is saying.
Please have more contact with us and undo the auction house update.

In the past, you got refunded instantly during runs, and the messages really don't get buried before you see it. Having it be in the mail makes you do at least 3 steps just to get your money back, and while the mail menu is open you cant move, so you cannot reclaim your money during parties or you slow everyone down. Even in a loot room like the final floor of DaN, you can see the blue flash up saying you were refunded, before it got buried.

I agree this update is more detrimental than helpful though the thought is probably in the right place. It makes bid wars twice as tedious as they already were having to go to your mail to get your money back every outbid. Making sure the player is for sure notified of being outbid is good but not worth this price to pay. I think mailing when outbid online should be optional or removed entirely.

It's too bad opening mail doesn't even work right when you have the AH open so you gotta close it first.

Maybe have the outbid notices temporarily sticky on top of chat or somewhere else in the screen.

If you revert this update revert the Depth 40, stratum 8, tier 4 shadow lairs please. Just like this update, it damages the game and nobody asked for it.

I dont see why some people went into rage mode for the update. Its the best update? no, but that doesnt mean u have to go against the team.

I dont go into bid wars but as soon as i read the update notes i thought ppl who does would have it bad. Tbh, the mail update will slow down the bid wars but apparently ppl dont want that hahaha. I saw a suggestion in Reddit that i liked it saying a little pop-up window should appear, thats one solution, but my feedback would be:

Create two tabs for the mail, one from the Auction House and the other tab to anything else. Even before this update, the mail i got from outbids (while offline) was a little annoying since i had to check if all mails were from AH or not, to dont miss anything. The "Collect all" button that Fangel suggested sounds nice too but still, the issue of missing out other types of mail would remain so i think a new tab only for AH would be nice along with a button to collect all from that tab.

Also, right now the Spiral Uplink have 3 tabs: News, Mail, and Invite. A new tab created only for the refunds of the AH with a Collect All button would solve various issues and would make sure everyone get their crowns back.

P.D: I was going to suggest a little "sound" effect when u get outbid while online to keep the auto-refund and help ppl not miss their outbids but i didnt know about ppl having problem getting their crowns back. So far, the little pop-up window or the Auction-exclusive mail tab with the collect all button are the suggestions that i have liked.

There are more important issues than bidwars., you aren't wrong, but when it's been 9 months of no content, and the only things there are to show for it are this feature (which isn't heavily requested like other features or changes), people are of course going to tilt.
