2) Constructs without a status affiliation are extremely rare when every Tier 3 stratum is either Shock, Poison, Fiend or Firestorm Citadel (Fire+Undead).

If it's wrong, then fix the drop lists on the wiki. For example, http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Mecha_Knight says it only drops from the regular, non-status version.

It comes from fire
It comes from fire scuttlebots mecha knights and gun puppies if I remember correctly. I have gotten one from a Fire Gun Puppy once.

1.) Everybody needs them. They're needed to craft the two best swords in the game, Leviathan and Divine Avenger. A couple other things too, but those are the two main drivers.

Constructs don't get as much
Constructs don't get as much love as other types.
You want higher chances of getting a Sun Silver? Go to a Construct strata in Tier 3. You want higher chances of getting Forge Sparks? Go to any Construct and/or Gremlin strata.
They don't drop commonly, Forge Sparks are the least common type of token drop, and everybody wants them for... you already know why they want them. :) So the price rockets up. Makes me a happy girl when I get one drop, makes the run instantly worth it.
