The wiki needs to be updated, namely like every section there is. Pretty much every one of the equipment stats / stats images are outdated. Also discard the ridiculous show level 10 stat of armor thing for armor.

How to help:

-> Log onto Spiral Knights
-> Goto Options and switch to windowed mode
-> Click on menu and bring up Recipes list
-> Mouseover the recipe until the window for equipment stats appears
-> Press print scrn button
-> Open up photoshop or paint or whatever, and get only the stat part of the picture
-> Save it as Equipment-Item_Name_Stats.png (forexample, swiftstrike buckler would be saved as Equipment-Swiftstrike_Buckler_Stats.png
-> Upload it onto the wiki, don't forget to add {{stats image}} into the summary box

Right now everything needs to be updated, add your stuff and then a list of whatever that's missing can be compiled later.

Yes, currently a number of the stats images are either missing or outdated. However, you need to name your files correctly. The format that is required by the template is Equipment-Item_Name_Stats.png (make sure you use uppercase for the first letter of each word. When uploading a new stats image (or you can do this for any that you upload, it doesn't hurt) put {{stats image}} in the Summary field.

You should also keep in mind that the game is in flux and many of the items are being rebalanced, so I wouldn't put a huge amount of time doing all of the stats images if it will frustrate you to possibly have them be outdated by a game update.

The process is easy enough however. It's just check the list of missing stuff whenever you pass Basil, take screenshot of item stats and crop it if it's on missing list and then upload. I hope people start to do this.

What Equinox means is that however easy it is, don't bother uploading stats because there are still some items that still need to be re-balanced (ie. Dread Venom Striker). If a re-balancing update occurs again, then we have to manually go through every single stat pic and make sure that they are all updated, otherwise we'll have to replace most of the stat images again.

This was the reason why I stopped uploading stat pictures. I don't discourage you from doing it - we're just warning you before a stats update happens again and all your efforts go to moot.

Indeed: some of the stat images have been uploaded 2-3 times, each set by a different person.

Worse than the labor of uploading them, though, is the labor of keeping them up to date- bear in mind that the devs can (and do) change the stats on items at any time and without notice (as recently happened with the virulisk gear). The release notes are pretty vague, and sometimes don't even mention that changes were made at all. Thus, the only way to systematically keep all recipes up to date in a timely fashion is to have someone buy them all, and check each wiki page on a regular basis. At a quick count, there are 300+ equippable items on the wiki at the moment, at least three of which are ultra-rare and do not have recipes.

Even for items that do have recipes, buying them all is expensive: offhand, I'd estimate the total cost of buying just the full set of 5* recipes to be on the order of a million crowns.

So overall: we'd really love to have item stats on the wiki, but our unspoken agreement of late has been to keep vague verbal descriptions of an item's stats, in lieu of images. Hopefully the above reasons will explain part of our collective laziness. :) Ynahteb has been extraordinarily generous in uploading as many images as she did yesterday, so be sure to thank her when you see her in game.... and cross your fingers hoping that the stats don't change again too soon!

On a related note: if you *do* want to add info, might I suggest taking a look at the list of recipes needed?

The recipes, like the stats, are mutable, but I've tried to add them because they represent a layer of information not available from vendors. (and some recipes require uber-rare ingredients- why waste crowns on a recipe you can't use?)

Some pages are also missing info on upgrade paths, item abilities, etc, as well as descriptions of weapon attacks and images of bomb blast radii. Pictures of what the item looks like equipped are also good, so long as the item does not look like its precursor. (Some weapons and armor have only "placeholder" art for now)

I encourage you to browse through and add whatever info you have. If you find a new item that is not yet on the wiki, consider creating a stub page and adding the "needs recipe" tag- my goal is to see the wiki at least mention every item in the game.
