So I have been missing a lot of Spiral Knights content since 2010 and 2013 and was wondering why old achievements were missing or incinerated from the achievement implementation system in the game?

Is there a way to bring it back and if so, how do we succeed with this motive?

I ask this because I am very concern with the value and the appeal of my achievements because I hate to be remembered or at least inspected as "The Knight Who Played Along Time Ago And Didn't Accomplish His Old Achievements" guy. Is there a voting system for this game to bring it back? I'm looking forward to playing this game again next year in 2021 (restarting a new knight as well).

Achievements do not define your character, but the sake of insecurities and love for this game, I would just love for old achievements to come back.

New achievements + removal of mineral deposit achievements...

Also, the new achievements are way too accessible and have zero significance.

Why remove the mineral deposit achievements?

Mineral Achievements had to do with gates.

From what I understand (I was also not in game until after these were removed), the mineral achievements were removed because 1) Gates became set in the levels that they could have (The ones we have today), and 2) It seemed that it became a problem with players using a specific type of mineral to basically control which level types there were for a gate, and repeat the level. So you would have something along the lines of an entire T3 run consisting of freeze clockwork terminals.

Again, I was not here when these were around, so I am only going off of info I got awhile back from other people. Older players probably will have much better input in this regard, and I imagine a more detailed response will come up.

That being said, it would be nice to have these achievements back in some form. Most suggestions I have seen referencing minerals are usually talking about ways to make a sprite that uses the Valestone and Moonstone minerals, rather than using them again as gate material, which is a good idea but mainly depends on how willing the developers are to make and add sprites that use these minerals.

There are three groups of knights:

A. Knights who were born after these achievements were removed. For them, the achievements do not appear at all in their user interface.

B. Knights who achieved these achievements before they were removed. For them, the achievements appear in the user interface and are marked as achieved.

C. Knights who were born before these achievements were removed, but who did not achieve them.

Are you saying that you're in group C? And that the achievements are sitting there un-achieved, which is embarrassing?

Ignoring the rest of the game (e.g., knights affecting level creation and getting paid), would you rather have a chance to achieve them (like group A) or have them not appear at all (like group B)?

I would be in group C.

I played before, but they weren't achieved. Is there a way to achieve them back or just go on with the game?

I know this is a senseless subject, but I've missed a lot of 8 year opportunity from this game and seeing my achievements half achieved and not able to achieve them kind of disappoints me because I was planning on coming back (not that achievements matter, but the small things removed or implemented in the game always matter for me at least).

it was suggested to repurpose them or make them achievable somehow, but the dev said something about "You can't win the 1987 super bowl" and that's at or near the last time they posted here.
