We need more new players
Guys, if you read this please take the time to write to a few of your favorite game review YouTubers and ask them if the could review Spiral Knights.
Tell them that your favorite game is dying even tho it has such a great combat system, cute design, awesome events, loveable players and huge potential.
I know, it will likely not be answered but
this isn't the time for pessimism!
It's also not the time for blind optimism. Grey Havens will not put work into it if they don't see a point. They already saved this game from shut down for us, don't expect anything else.
It's time to take matters into our own hands.
Help out new players if they ask for help, write YouTubers like "thelazypeon" about this matter, share this idea to your SK friends who don't browse the forums. If we all write thelazypeon for example, he might understand that we mean it and check it out.
Let's not give up just yet.

I think YouTube coverage could help the game a ton. There are a few SK content creators already which are doing great work in terms of covering the game, but getting some big content creators covering the game could be fantastic. Main issue would be convincing them the game is worth a video.

You want more lag? Because that's how you get more lag.

Yeah, I doubt any big YTer will cover SK. I mean, even if they did, SK's poorly balanced gears, tedious grind will simply undo any hype it generated.
And I feel like helping new players will simply make them quit quicker since they cannot handle any challenge by themselves later on.

The covid illustrates how a large influx of player effects the game. The servers become laggy (laggier than usual, even) and this scares away many of the new players, and the developers fail to react quickly enough to capitalize on the situation.
My current idea as to how to get new stuff is to develop levels for them, take pictures of it, make a visually appealing board type thing and force the levels onto them. Maybe even try bribing them to accept your work if you have to. We have access to the level editor, though you'll have to ask around for it.
I just wrote him on Twitter @The_Lazy_Peon.
Please do so yourselves. If we all come together and writehim there he will see it.
