Many of you in the SK Community may or may not know this, but, from what I've read, and enjoyed so far, Go! Go! Kokopolo is a game series made by the exact person who worked on a favored Crash Bandicoot game(it's Crash Twinsanity, so you know), Keith Webb of his indie studio, Tanukii Studios, and enlisted help from a few people, such as the composer, Doug Boyes of 2dB Music, and programmers, to get the games up and running.
Keith's website is here - http://www.kokopolo.com/HOSTS/WEBBSTA/MAIN/main.html
Though told in a series of insights in a UK magazine before discontinuation and the games' launch, Go! Go! Kokopolo places the central character, the Hyperactive Wildcat, Kokopolo, with his best friend, Tatsumo, the Okapi, on high-speed, scratch-induced and hilarious adventures, scratching many creatures to lure them into the ever-hungry Snap-Snap Plant to snag goodies and score points in the amazing Chase-Em-Up series. Kokopolo is one of my favorite indie heroes.
Its first installment, "Harmonious Forest Revenge", placed them on their goal to disrupt the life of Jinbe, the peaceful sky-guardian, by accidentally dropping one of his bongo drums on Kokopolo while on his usual peace-spreading routine, travelling through 10 worlds, 80 stages, and beating 10 bosses to accomplish their goal, and in turn, [SPOILERS] prompting the guardian to construct his robotic self to deliver justice to them in its Expert Mode. The game, seen on DSi, had 20 enemies to deal with, and they're amazingly neat to face, and crazy hilarious with their expressions. Though, it did had a few annoyances, one of which was the screen size that made it a bit tough to see where you're going or scratching. The Bonus Round it has was a nice enjoyment in the game, having the sleepwalking Astrobug drag Kokopolo or Tatsumo around trying to snag goodies while avoiding black holes that drag them out. The outcome to that is it can skip one round anyone's in, to those who may be struggling to finish the game in Normal Mode.
The first game's website's there for those who may like to look, archived - http://kokopolo.com/story.html
The second installment, "Space Recipe for Disaster", had sent Kokopolo, Tatsumo, and Jinbe on a three-way race to bring the broken pieces of Mikosuki's Tablet of Immortality to him, each holder of which holds different desires to attain immortality once the tablet's pieced back together, traversing through new locations and facing new bosses, and finding all 70 Space Treasures to complete the whole recipe. The 3DS installment addressed key annoyances from the previous game, made it easier to see what goes on with the better screen size, but my minor niches about the game is that there's no new enemies added as well as no new Bonus Rounds. Only the same 20 enemies from the past game. Hope we see more new enemies & maybe new Bonus Rounds soon.

Lately, I read that another new Kokopolo installment, called "Go! Go! Kokopolo DX: Super Scratch Cat Fever" is said to have been worked on for the Switch. The screenshots I've seen did show some promising potential, such as the increased screen size, again, but I've yet to see what's really going on in the game. The one thing I saw was the artwork for the game when it was officially announced, showcasing a new character soaring in the air across the same enemies Kokopolo's faced before, and I'm guessing he's in Kokopolo's next adventure. I can also presume new stages and bosses may be present there, too as well as a brand-new story.
The game's said to be out on the Switch around 2018, but that estimate has passed. I can still say they're still working on it and have yet to establish an absolute release date. Hope it won't be too long.
I've yet to see the game on Switch, cause its not on the eShop yet, I've looked, but I'm really in thought on what's taking them to get that game ready. If anyone out there could get in touch with the people working on it, maybe we could hear word on its status, 'cause I'd like to know how they're doing so far.
While we're still waiting, how come no one's made any form of wiki or placed the games' sprites for the people to view? Kokopolo should be noticed more often, and someone should do something to get him more noticed. Documenters, sprite rippers, archivists, or enthusiasts should do their part to bring increased awareness about Kokopolo to the people.
Kokopolo's been my favorite series, so I would really be intrigued to keep those kind of games going. Please place your thoughts on what you like about the games so far.
I placed a post about one of my amazing favorite games that's brought the eyes of many people with its stellar pixel art, unique gameplay mechanics, and vibrant worlds with zany enemies & bosses to take down, and hardly anyone in the SK forums takes some time from adventuring in Cradle to speak about this here?
Now, I don't want to sound very frustrated, but I still think a little more attention should be brought here. Surely, there's got to be some people who bought those games would like to at least take some time to talk about Kokopolo here time to time.
