This is most often a problem with a certain type of router. There are a ton of threads about the same thing, all of which say they have a Linksys WRT54G2 or something similar.

Is that what you have?

If it isn't, it's possible it's a port-forwarding issue, which is not highly difficult or technical to fix.

All you can do is sit and wait for 3rings to fix this problem. It's been going on for 2 weeks ish.

You can hook up directly to your modem (not your router) but that might mean taking down everything that uses the router to connect to the internet. This is a decent option but it might mean playing SK when everyone is asleep at 2AM.

You can also flash your router with with some freeware which in my opinion isn't worth the risk of killing your router.

Play at a friends house, that's what I have been doing. Also if your in college the Computer lab could probably care less as to what you are doing as long as it isn't porn or a virus.

Email the support team also. I figure every email counts in convincing them that this is a major problem that needs fixing!
