Time Stones for New Weapon Mechanics

Massive-Lag-Spikes
Moonstones (Blue) and Valestones (Green) currently have no purpose. Make it so they can be crafted into Time Gems that delay attacks.
How it would work:
- At the mysterious alchemy machine: 1000 Valestone + 1000 Moonstone + 5k Crowns = 1 Time Gem (material item)
- Bring the Time Gem to Punch and pay him 100k Crowns to imbue the gem into a weapon of choice.
- Each weapon can be imbued with a maximum of 5 Time Gems. Time Gems can also be removed by Vise at the price of 2k Energy each.
What do Time Gems do to Weapons?
A weapon that has been imbued with N time gems will experience a full N seconds of delay between every attack animation and when the attack actually occurs:
- A sword swing will deal damage to its hitbox N seconds after the swing animation complete.
- A bomb will detonate (start fuse) at the location it was dropped N seconds after it is dropped
- A fired gun will produce a projectile that is frozen in place for N seconds after the gun's shooting animation completes. After N seconds, it follows the same trajectory and mechanic as normal, hitting anything in the way. If an enemy bumps into a frozen bullet, the time freeze is broken and it immediately "fires" as it would if the N seconds is up.
Players can continue to perform attacks during the N second delay. The normal reload/recoil time applies and is still affected by ASI and CTR. However, monsters will flinch/dodge only when the time freeze is over.
Why Should Gray Havens implement this?
- The game already has a built-in mechanic for delaying attacks. Kidding aside, this would actually help people with high latency since it encourages a play style of prediction rather than reacting in real time to stimuli. While it's true people can do this anyways, it's really hard to fight instinct when weapons are designed to be used in real time.
- This would be a very unique twist on gameplay that is truly fitting for a game like Spiral Knights. Think about the combo possibilities! Launch a delayed Sudaruska charge then use your (non-delayed) Wild Hunting Blade to push enemies into the hitbox!
- Who am I kidding: Gray Havens won't implement this, but I still think it's a cool idea.
I like this idea actually. Its almost like a "super" for a knight, and could really bring some interesting strats for PvE. Like you said, GH probs won't implement it, but I still think this is a cool idea.
