The last time I checked (prior to the pandemic), Grey Haven, LLC., was comprised of 8 employees. It is my speculation that most of them are tied up with running Puzzle Pirates while their illegitimate bastard child, otherwise known as Spiral Knights, is probably maintained by only one person, usually during his/her coffee break. Furthermore, I suspect that one of many duties of that person is to cycle and/or rehash through one of the previous events at random so as to give the unsuspecting majority of the players, who now comprise the minority of the player base, an apparent illusion of a full team investing all of their resources to bring yet another mysteriously exciting and surprising event.

Once in a blue moon, if that person is feeling particularly audacious and creative, might introduce a brand-new event by taking one of the previous held events, change the event title, then boldly proceed to retexture, recolor, resize, reshape, and then rename the accompanying event prizes, which are then re-introduced to the players as brand-new gear/items.

If you've been waiting to acquire that elusive Snarbolax battle sprite or an Overcharged Mixmaster from events, it just might happen next month! The probability of that happening isn't very high (equivalent to winning the PowerBall Lotto grand jackpot five consecutive times) but it's not zero. So don't give up hope!

We, as dedicated and loyal fans of Spiral Knights, must continue to do our part by shelling out our hard-earned cash and/or credit card and splurge, without question, on every event they throw at us, thereby helping Grey Haven to continue to generate revenue and boost their profit, and take satisfaction in knowing that the event we've been waiting for might just happen one day!*

* Sometime within the next millennium, on an Earth-like planet in a distant galaxy far far away in alternate universe.
