*Purpose of this thread is just me ranting and me confused about the current state of the game*
There's plenty of discussions about this, but I just don't really understand. This game has ran on its feet for 10+ years and the fact that ex-Three Rings employees are still on this game, what is taking them so long to communicate and fix the game?
This game is seriously in development hell and the only way I think SK would succeed in terms of reaching more players is if it were to be funded by support by the community (like a GoFundMe), sell it to another big game corporation, or just in general have the community that have specific knowledge, experience, and commitment to add new things into the game?
I mean I haven't seen SK advertise on huge platforms? Why? I don't know. Just look at games like League of Legends, Fortnite, Forza, Call of Duty, Valorant, and other games? They've advertised and updated their games to their audiences. They've used Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or even TikTok to grab people's attention?
Who is behind all of the hold up for the game? Where is our answers?
"Grey Havens operates games created by Three Rings Design back in the glorious first decade of the new millenium. Rather than allow those games to disappear forever, we have assembled a doughty crew to keep them operational for as long as we can."
The games in question are:
Puzzle Pirates
Spiral Knights
Please enjoy these fine electronic entertainments.
-- The Grey Havens Crew
How can you fund a domain and website and not do anything with it? How many screams will it take for people to actually take action in changing the game?
I just don't understand honestly, lmfao, there's nothing new, changing, or fun about SK? Challenges, 1v1's, LD, recreation ideas, weapon demo/testing and other "redo this ideas" just aren't fun anymore. It's time to update Grey Havens.
Because they don't care.
SK hasn't had full time developers in over a year, maybe 2.
Their position has always been that they'll do what they want and don't need or want community help.
Maybe they feel they're still getting an acceptable amount of profit on this game without having to do much, but they seem happy to let things continue as they are.
