A crafting story...

Once upon a time there was a Spiral Knight called Stushla. He had recently aquired a full set of 2* gear which he had planned to use to bring him through to 5* (crafting wise). "I have finally acquired the materials for my 3* sword. Hoorah!" he said. He hurried of to the alchemy machine excitedly. But something was wrong. The recipe wasn't picking up the old 2*. Then Stushla realized...."It has to be Level 1 exactly.....not even over....". He was slightly stunned as he had not expected this. Then he looked at the rest of his gear...."FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" he exclaimed.

THE END

I think this needs to be changed to Level 1+ because this discourages people from using their hard earned 2* gear. If this is a glitch/temporary thing/bug then sorry for the thread. (I'd at least learn if it will get fixed)

Yeah, no one would ever make a crafting system in which you can't use an item with too high of a level.

You shouldn't feel stupid.

You shouldn't feel stupid. The game's UI could use some work.

What is stupid is that if you have an item equipped and try to drag it to the crafting interface, nothing happens. A message saying "You must unequip the item first" would be nice.

Sounds like a good suggestion to me.
