This is why I avoid all fire levels. All of them. I'll wait at the gate for 10 minutes, if I have to.
I mean, I'm in T1 and **** like this happens.
Stuff that insane really ought not be happening, even in T3, so hopefully this will get fixed soon. However, the flames from the gremlin scorchers seem to just plink uselessly against my shields when I DO get stuck in them, since they don't do any damage and only inflict fire status. My grey owlite shield pretty much ignores added "damage" from fire status attacks. Flames from red rovers, on the other hand, aren't quite as benign.
Seeing as how this wasn't broken before and we've had plenty of restarts since, I don't see why this "bug" hasn't already been reverted. Perhaps they're more focused on adding CE/cr sinks.
Maybe the bug isn't as simple as you think it is. OOO isn't a huge company. They get stuff done when they can.
They've already addressed the issue and are working on a fix for it.

If I had to guess, it might be related to implementing new attacks for use in the upcoming Gremlin boss dungeon. Except instead of copying the flamethrower attack and then modifying the copy, they modified the original flamethrower attacks by accident...
That's just me pulling a possible explanation out of the air. I have absolutely no evidence that this is what happened.

It's a shame projectiles still disappear, and now we have this problem.
I remember it started happening after the bugfix that Dirt mentioned, but I'm going to play along with Giga's thesis. Much love for small companies.

Relax, they'll fix it eventually. It's fine to say that it wasn't a good idea, and that they could be working on better thing's, or real problems, and that this is certianly going to waste more time to fix this, but relax, it'll smothen out. For now, let's enjoy our "warm" summer days with the gremlins and take funny sreenshot's too keep the fun memory alive, like the first posts :D

It really wouldn't be -so- bad if the flame just behaved like, well, flame...and moved in a straight line. It would still be dangerous, but manageable.
This bouncing off of thin air and homing in directly at my knight no matter what angle it started at has to go.
