Oceania Servers

I am looking into the logistics behind hosting servers for various games ( as a company startup ) however I am also wanting to host a spiral knights server from New Zealand.
If anyone has any ideas how to make this optimistic idea a reality please feel free to suggest below I have access to plenty of hardware and a professional coder i really want to host this server for free however my colleague has little experience with Java I'm hoping that with improved connection from the oceanic region it will breathe more life into my favorite game.
My top priority would be security and stability.
I know we have a talented community that may be able to lend a hand so I can get together a sort of test server (if Grey Havens gives permission) and hopefully one day an officially supported Grey Havens server for the oceanic region!
This would be a great experience and I would love any server/Java related advice.

Hehe its nice to see people still trying push this game forward.
From an AUS player im all for it! LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!
But knowing Grey Havens they usually sweep these things under the rug - even though im sure we have resource and man power. Whether its something within their contract to just keep the game alive or they are simply lazy. Who knows. But I believe within the sk community there are easily enough players with real life experience coding, people who own enough hardware, people who work in advertising, etc. to get this game back on its feet.
Its just a shame they don't let us help.
