How do i get images posted to the wiki?

I dunno anything about editing the wiki, but i check it from time to time for things and i recently found a special room that isn't listed there, so i wanted to ask how to get these screenshots taken on there from the steam screenshots.

It looks like a little warehouse room with the blocks filling most of the room with a conveyer on top and a few prize boxes. the conveyer shows up on the map but it blocks that path so you can't actually get into that narrow area at the top. like 1/4 of the blocks have scuttlebots in them so i thought people would like to know in advance.

Normally, I'd first ask you which page do you want to add those images to (probably the Scenario Room page) and then I'd help you extend the article, figure out a good name for the image, upload the image and save the edit.

Unfortunately, image upload is broken.

If you want to try, you need to log in with a non-Steam account (you will need to make a new one if you don't have one) and then click this link: https://wiki.spiralknights.com/index.php?title=Special:Upload&wpDestFile.... It should bring you to the upload page with the file name filled in. I've selected a name that can be used on the Scenario Room page. Select the source file (your image) and upload it. You don't need to worry about the summary or upload options.

I'm 95 % certain you'll get the 403 Forbidden error, but you never know unless you try. One of the things that seem to cause this error is when you upload more than around 7 kB of data, which is a big issue for uploading images. Images smaller than 7 kB could work, but only icons could fit under this threshold pretty much. That's why image upload is broken.

Oh, that's bad.

Well, i'll wait for someone to update the wiki and fix it i guess. no idea who's gotta field that but whatever.

Hey, I know it's been a while but I added your scenario room, thanks for sharing it! You can look it in the list https://wiki.spiralknights.com/Scenario_Room. I assumed the level was Clockwork Tunnels: Mechanized Mile tho. I had to resize your screenshot to fit in the 2mb limit so inside the file (here https://wiki.spiralknights.com/File:Scenario_Room-Clockworks_20.png) I put the links to steam that you shared.

Actually, it's already there

I took another look at the page and found the room was already there (https://wiki.spiralknights.com/File:Scenario_Room-Clockworks_9.png). You can also see the grey blocks from which the Scuttlebots spawn.

I would be careful with assuming the exact level type. Maybe it can show up in any Clockwork Tunnels, not just Mechanized Mile. I have a faint memory of being surprised by the Scuttlebots when I encountered this long ago, because there was a different monster family in that level (not Constructs nor Gremlins). But it's just a faint memory, so take it with a grain of salt.

Side note: I was also surprised why the file naming scheme is different from what I suggested earlier. Browsing the images on the page again, I can find only a handful of images with a name similar to what I suggested. All other images use the naming scheme Jade-Hikaru used. Also, there's no "Area-Clockwork_Tunnels-Scenario_Room11A.png" or "Area-Clockwork_Tunnels-Scenario_Room11.png". How did I got the name "Area-Clockwork_Tunnels-Scenario_Room11B.png"?

Ohh it is, I didn't notice it while looking, maybe cuz it's not closer like Kx-Ragtag's screen. I think I'm going to use Kx-Ragtag screen for an alternative view of the already uploaded, even tho it have the old UI, it's the one that shows the room as encountered.

About the names, if I recall correctly I used the geography list's template years ago to update the scenario list but i didn't understand the "segment" and "number" parameter that much (The template was created by Novaster who no longer edits the wiki, but they did their best to make it work generally), you can check here for example https://wiki.spiralknights.com/March_of_the_Tortodrones#Arcade_Gallery it has different names, so I did my best in using the template while making sense of the already uploaded screens. Gotta admit I still don't understand much the segment/number cuz i dont remember much how I used them anyway so sorry for that.

Since we cant move files to a proper/consistent name its not much we can do, and i think its better to keep the originals so it shows who and when it was updated.
