First off, spikes do not appear to apply stun as they do in the original BN map. Is this a bug, or was this just never added?
Secondly, would it be possible to allow players to alter the period and duty cycles for hazards like spikes and freeze? The addition of freeze grates, for example, opens up many possibilities for level design in BN, but in their current state, they are extremely unforgiving, as you do not have enough time to escape the grate before it freezes you again.
Edit: You can delete this post mods, I just read the wiki. Sorry about that.
Edit 2: No, wait, now I'm confused. I'm moving this to editor tips and tricks from the editor feedback section since I'm not sure I understand how traps work. The wiki says I can alter the timing by tagging the trap properly, but how do I do that?
So far this is what I've found out about them:
- The fire/ice/poison/etc traps don't come with the "cycle" setting in the editor. Perhaps there is a way to send a signal to them somehow(?) but I'm not aware. ON THE OTHER HAND, the ones labelled Meta/Damage/* or Meta/Status/* do. All traps who share the cycle A will activate at the same time and these cycles follow an activation order A -> A2 -> B -> B2. That is the "set" mentioned in the wiki.
- You can change the cycle status by sending a signal to it with the corresponding cycle name. Send a signal named "UP" and that trap will remain active indefinitely because it's Cycle will be modified to UP.
- The Meta/Damage/* or Meta/Status/* tiles are random for me. I dont know how they made the ones in the lockdown example map "advanced signals" to always manifest as a spike trap. If someone find out why they are like that let me know.
