Make it so that the self inflicting status penalties of the Gran Faust and Fang of Vog (and any other weapon with such a penalty) only takes effect when you miss your charge attack. Missing your charge attack would cause guaranteed self-infliction, while hitting your charge attacks guarantees that you avoid this self-infliction.
In case it is too easy to hit all your charge attacks, maybe cause self-inflictions on missed basic attacks as well, but only with a slight chance, rather than it being guaranteed. (This should apply only to the second attack for the Gran Faust, since the curse has a chancing of inflicting only on the second attack)
That sounds like a pretty cool risk-and-reward type of thing with those weapons. I love the curse sword in Dead Cells for example, super fun playstyle, keeps you at edge lol. The problem however lies with a few things: how unfun and awkward the curse status is (40sec-1min of no playtime? no thanks). The weapons are strong, but Brandishes will forever reign supreme in SK, so most people will avoid those weapons. Me included, and you'll read why. Redo how curse works, and buff the living life out of those weapons if that's the kind of playstyle those swords will require. In all honesty, I like how Fang of Vog is, and I love the lack of knockback it has so you can get more damage of the charge attack. But that charge attack on the Gran Faust needs to be redone and buffed, or something. Another issue is that, I love to play fancy with my combos. I love to attack, shield cancel, attack and attack. And I love sword stepping, too, so that'll mess up my playstyle :( /salute
