Hello, I was just trying to lunch game (on Steam) after most recent update.
I keep getting windows error message that reads:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will Exit.
I already tried verifying files, then installed and installed game again as per official news post but the issue persist.
I am on Windows 10 (with latest security updates), I am not sure if my pc specs would be of any use as this seems to be some form of permission issue with whatever Java VM is being used now.
Please note I do run Bluestacks (Android emulator) and my OS / BIOS already use / have enabled the settings required to run VMs (I assume this might be related).
I also run Malware bytes anti-malware software but I did not get anything flagged when trying to lunch the game, my last guess would be windows defender / firewall lacking some permission but I would need to know what to look for to give it a try.
If you need any further details please let me know, I will try to keep an eye on this thread.
When you uninstalled the game, did you also delete the entire directory? Sometimes Steam likes to retain files even if you've uninstalled the game. I'm going to pass this along, but while I do, can you give it one more try and let us know if you get in?
- In steam: Settings gear icon for the game ->properties -> browse local files -> delete the entire directory
- Uninstall game
- Reinstall game
