Suggestions for guild activities (to the Devs specifically)

Oldie returning here to play my childhood game. Coming back I notice that much is still the same, things work mostly the same with the exception of some new gear and other trinkets and odd things. On one hand its nice because it's like I never left, I can still pretty much play without feeling out of the loop. On the other hand its a bit sad that there hasn't been any real major overhauls, yet.

Therefore, after playing for a few hours I thought of 2 things that could be fun if they were implemented. And those things involve the guild. To me, the guild was never really a feature that added much. The guildhall was cool and guild matches in pvp are fun but it never felt like there was an end goal that everyone in the guild could partake in. At least for me.

So, bear in mind I have no dev skills and have full respect for the devs and their opinions if things are possible or not. My suggestion is to make some sort of guild wars thing, and not one involved with the coliseum. A guild wars where guild can raid and attack each others guild halls. By doing this you can create goals around gearing up the guild halls for defense, building the halls in certain ways and so on. The goal for the raiding guild is to steal CE or something along those line, perhaps some decoration from the guild hall. Perhaps much like krogmo coins you can get tokens inexchange for gear/decoration items for the guild hall?

The second idea is guild raiding in the clockworks. So instead of having a party of 4, you do much like WoW. A big raid with maybe 10 people? Idk if it'd be possible for them all to fill out different roles but that would be cool, where say you need people to specailize in different categories like swords, bombs, guns and so on. And where these different roles matter against bosses and levels. This would create the incentive to make new dugeons, new bosses and new expereinces for the players and for the guild members to interact with each other more. Same with this as the previous idea, that doing this would give exclusive loot and cool gear for the players themsleves and the guilds. And also say that these runs would be longer than a normal vana run perhaps? More like an SL but more floors and harder? So you make the guilds plan out the raid in advance.

As you can tell, the ideas aren't fully fleshed out but they can definitely be improved upon. I don't remember if these ideas have been implemented before so if they have then sorry xD. But yeah, a suggestion/questions to the Devs if this could be done.

Cheers

Welcome back!

These are fun ideas about guild content. I can't promise a specific outcome, but I'll pass them along. If anyone else has thoughts on what guild activities they'd love to see, feel free to add them here! ⚙️

Hi Clotho!

I want to suggest things within the devs time. So I want to suggest things that would reuse game assets or are "simple" (I know it's probably not in terms of game development)

- Please add the ability from Officers and GMs to add actual enemies to the private training hall. Perhaps even add a Boss Training Arena.

- Guild Master Private Storage

- Ability to make ingame giveaways through the guild.

- Making Upkeep free. The prices for a lot of the rooms is already ridiculous enough.

Howdy Clotho!

I have a couple of ideas I think are worth sharing:

1. Guild's having a passive revenue gained from guild members running the clock works. Have the end of each terminal or gate earn X flat number of crowns automatically to the guild hall. Let it be used on upkeep or decorations. This would insentavise active players, and gives active guilds with active players money to expand the guild. I would also note, that a flat, low/lower number would likely be best for this as I don't think making dontations irrelevant is a good idea, nor do I think a percentage is a good idea as it then supports the FSC FSC FSC FSC FSCF FSCF cult that we all worship (praise be the almighty crown).
2. Allow for Guilds to host community events and you promote them. I mean like offical recognized, scaled events. The core idea is enabling an event hosted by trusted community members/guild leaders to keep new "events" happening while also take work off of your team (The power of delegation). Let guilds bid or request being able to host the event. For the events themselves, maybe this is as simple a snowball fight in the Haven. Or maybe it's whoever collects the most Valestone for our Valestone thrones over the next week gets some tricket or token (I can't be the only one obsessively hoarding it?). Or honestly, just let the guilds decide on it using existing in game usables or doo-dads. It would be advertised on the little bulletin board we all get when we log on first time for the day (the spiral uplink, news tab). You know, where it says "dealved too deep" as long as I've played this game. This gives something for everyone from the uber rich sponsoring the event to the uber poor, fellow auction house penny bidding addicts, something that pulls them in.

Notedly, I would totally do the advertising on the website, however I begining to suspect this commodore 64 era website might not be the easiest thing to update or change.
3. An off shoot of the above idea: Enable a function or way of having guild events via an item package. What I'm imagining is a system for a guild to pay X currency to start on event. Like in an event room. Legend has it Grey Havens themselves will bless a guild with supplies and goodies to support current guilds to do community events. This could be implemented in a way into the guilds themselves. Maybe in the "guild room" you could easily host a snowball competetion or halloween coffetti game, getting the items you need. It could be done as the package is bought that can only be bought once a month or season (4 month period).

Thank you for facing the flames and interacting with the community.

Some other suggestions

I already posted this on the Steam Forums but I want to make sure the devs read it

  1. Guild Prestige: Just like Player Prestige, Guild Prestige will have a unique marker next to the Guild Name to show the group's total prestige. Whenever a player in a guild earns prestige, it is counted to the guild's overall total. GP can be earned from Guild-Specific Prestige missions SEPARATE from Player Prestige and will REQUIRE at least 2 people to run for Delve Missions (i.e. going into the Clockworks). This not only helps to encourage people in guilds to play with each other more often in something that isn't FSC, but will help to encourage active recruitment and expansion. If there are more people in a guild completing daily GPM's, their GP Rank will go up faster.
  2. Guild Prestige Leaderboard: I think this one is self-explanatory. You can split this up into a weekly/monthly/total board. There should also be separate brackets based on how many players are registered to each guild. It wouldn't be fair for someone with a guild of <10 Players to be competing against someone that has >100. There could be rewards issued for top-ranking Guilds like furniture, cosmetics, crowns, energy, or rarities.
  3. Add Achievements: Seriously, you will be surprised just how many people will do something just because it's an achievement. Here's a few recommended ones I have:
    - Join a Guild
    - Complete [x] Amount of GPMs
    - Donate [x] Amount of Energy/Materials/Gear/Crowns to Guild Treasury
    - Have a Full Guild Party complete a Tier [x] Delve Without ANY Player Reviving
    - Have a Full Guild party Complete [x] Boss Without ANY Player Reviving
    - Play a Match of [PvP Game] with Guild
That's already like 18 new achievements right there. Say that's a good start.
  4. Guild-Specific Gear: For aesthetics. Because as we all know, everyone loves their cosmetics in this game. You would most likely earn it through GPMs via Material Drops which would then be crafted at an Alchemy Machine that you can build/purchase for your guild. I know there's the one for furniture so maybe that one can be slightly repurposed to include this. Someone mentioned wanting the Homecoming set to come back but the devs said " Not sure about that one ". My recommendation would be to slightly tweak the design of it and bring it back this way. Would love a Sword, Shield, and Full Armor Set. You could even make an Armor Stand that has it and put that as a new Furniture Decoration
  5. Arcade Guild-Run Bonuses: A common complaint I'm seeing is that the Arcade is just not worth going into unless you're looking for recipes or doing the achievements. Which.... yeah. Facts lol - So what I'd say to that is if you have a full team of Guild Members running in the Arcade, you could have a boosted rate of drops (could be heat, rarities, crowns, or even boss Tokens). Now instead of running FSC ALL the time... people would at least experience PART of the Arcade. This one is definitely the most controversial out of anything I could recommend because boosting anything that COULD boost FSC is just... tricky. But it's kind of the best option I can think of so far to get people back into the Arcade. The only way I could see a valid balance for this would be to tweak the difficulty so that Arcade Runs are on an even higher difficulty in order to justify a larger payout.
  6. Anyways, would love to hear what the devs think about this. I'll add more ideas if I see/think of anything
