Why on earth does it completely counter gunners and bombers? Bombs get defused near the boss, meaning you just can't use bombs for whatever reason. Then guns also get blocked by the tentacles.
Guns should be able to destroy the tentacles more easily to get brief line of sight to damage the Mimic, bombs probably shouldn't get defused.
I agree, the tentacles keep blocking everything. They need a nerf and be able to destroy more easily. Makes the vault not fun, especially at t3.
