The mechanism to reconnect to a an ongoing party when the client has been terminated broke

My controller stopped working when entering that black obsidian map from Apocrea event.
I could still type with my keyboard.
I killed my client, restarted it and logged in again, hoping to return to my party. It hangs after that forever. This was the second time I tried that (and also only the second time my controller stopped working in that map; it never stopped working in other maps, so i dont really mind yet).
I doubt it will help, but this is the projectx.log after the restart:

Maybe has been fixed

I accidentally closed/killed my game at the Clockworks Terminal, while multitasking and when I logged back in, it took me back to it.
... but I'm not sure, because it was only Terminal. Terminal is small and special (HUD doesn't lock there etc.).

It happened again while I was in Tortodrone mission

My Client died and it hung forever on login. Tried multiple times.
Would be nice, if there was a button "Discard active party and go to ready room" to abort infinite loading.
Lost a Fiendish ID, but it's no biggy for me.
At the time, the forums were also down showing "Gateway Timeout", that's why I post one day later.
