I like it when games show how much damage each player has done in an encounter. It gives you a way to 'compete' in PvE. Plus, as a newbie, it can help you realise there's room to improve your gear or play. To be clear, I'm referring to a display of each player's individual contribution to the party's total damage, such as in WoW.

In SK I think it'd make the most sense to track the damage in a single battle, rather than over an entire level. When all the players step on the party button and start the battle, the damage count will start from zero and when the battle ends, the damage count will be stopped. This'd probably exclude damage done to enemies that don't drop crowns, such as regenerating minis.

There are a few ways the meters could be displayed in the UI. The two I thought of are:
- A 'pop-out' to the right of the party's player HP bars, showing % damage.
- A new part of the UI that shows a segmented bar representing each player's % damage. For example, if there are 3 players in the party, there'd be 3 colored bar segments of different lengths proportional to the damage each player has dealt.

Lemme know what you think!

I've had this thought as well...

I've always wanted to see how much I've contributed to a party. It does add some sense of competition. Besides damage, I think most statistics should be shown on the post-game menu like (sparks used (on others and self), damage taken(total and from each source), damage resisted, damage dealt( total and for each source) etc).

There are so many aspects of this game's multiplayer that don't involve direct damage, as with many games which parade stats while not representing the context surrounding them, that this system would be misleading even in the best of cases where things like defense debuffs proportionally award the player who dealt them.

It'd be fun for PvE minigames where blowing up enemies before anyone else does is how things were scored, though.

I have no idea

Ash of Agni... is one of the highest DAMAGE output weapon in the game and would Never score high because how it happen to deal that damage, so... Can I disable the "meter" because I don't care, as long the mission is achieved I don't care who did the most what, My mom loves me regardless I'm in the scoreboard or not...
But hey! If people wants a meter, could one be implemented in a sensible and holistic form?

Eh... no

Maybe some people would enjoy getting the biggest number but I don't see any benefit personally, especially with how difficult it would be to quantify non-damage focused support. I could however easily see it encouraging disruptive or toxic behavior. Overcompetitive players using knockback to hog damage even if other players had a situation handled and just slowing down the run, and low damage players getting flak for not contributing enough.

Status damage

@Jcyrano Ash of Agni and other sources of status effect damage should be tracked. Sprite abilties and damage from thrown objects should be as well. Basically any damage number that you see above enemies is your damage and should count as such.
