I have many suggestions, not so major as to change the game as we all know and love it, but in ways that will greatly affect haven as a whole.

Starting with the deflating energy market. I (and many other players) have encountered a point in Spiral Knights where we want to buy and sell using energy, but no one is accepting energy. Why? Energy is at an all time low. I suggest old prize boxes or items/accessories are put in the Supply Depot every weekend, spicing up player count, and skyrocketing energy back into a usable currency. The result? More people would be incentivized to buy energy as it would be a usable currency.

Next, and this one is a very impactful change, would be about the binding system. I think the binding system in some scenarios is very understandable such as in the case of DLC or mission earned items, but it removes the easy-flow of the player market. I believe that when an accessory is attached to an item, sure it should take a remove accessory item to remove the accessory, which makes sense, but having to unbind weapons, armors, shields, etc. Costumes can't even be unbound, which sucks altogether. Now to trade costumes they should have no accessories on them, that way it incentivizes removing all accessories, taking ENERGY and then also making the player market feel very fluid, while giving access to all new players to obtain old items from older players.

For the unused Moonstone and Valestone crystals, we need a way to transmute the crystals into the three main crystals, giving them a use, and this service could cost crowns, and making the NPC "Wegner" useful.

On that note, I feel that some of the sprites *AHEM Maskeraith* have been very underwhelming. I think slight returning of Maskeraith or even a mini rework would be good for them.

Caboosing that thought (Shout out The Goose Caboose) Sprites could be a lot more useful in fights and different niches if *drumroll* their abilities had different cooldowns! All separate and with the 3 abilities come separate timers respectively regarding their 1 2 and 3 slots. (Do what you see fit with this)

Moving on with the promotional boxes, I feel that when you run a MKII everyone is gonna want the older items to match with. That said I feel that the MKII boxes would be on the promotional as usual being 14 for $49.99 USD etc. and the older box be in the Supply Depot for normal box price (3500e) as to continue the flow of energy while also giving people options to buy the old items as well as the new ones.

Thank you so much for your time reading this, and please take it into consideration.

Sincerely

Prize Boxes Reruns Prices

Confection - 30ke
Gourmet - 10ke
Spritely - 10ke
OG Grey - 3.5ke
Katastrophe - 7.0ke
Guild Prize Boxes - 7.0ke
Most Other Boxes - 3.5ke

Disclaimer!! These are just prices I came up with to better balance the rewards in there to give a better idea of prices for depot! I stress heavily that this would save the energy crisis if these were run weekly/biweekly on weekends as promotions.

hi

i understand your sentiment, and yes the base concept of some of your ideas are what others have been discussing as possible solutions. however:

1. Adding boxes into the depot does help the energy/cr conversion, but it is a band-aid solution. The real purpose/benefit of depoting boxes would be making rare costumes/accessories far less inflated and much more obtainable for your average player.

-- The real issue at hand, and why the energy market is so low currently, is that a majority of the playerbase use purchasing boxes/energy as their main source of in-game income. There are not enough players currently grinding vanaduke/missions to generate enough crowns to offset that. The actual solution to the energy issue would be to increase the amount of crowns in circulation via new missions or tweaking crown payouts.

2. I do agree adding costume unbinds would be cool, and potentially could offer another avenue for energy usage. However, if you make costume unbinds a set price (let's say 5ke?), then the price of said costumes would be a minimum of 5ke for people to resell. Even if those costumes were technically worth far less based on their rates in their respective boxes.

3. I think you might be using sprites the wrong way. I'd look up videos on how to use them effectively. The state they are currently in is very beneficial for late game players. Maskeraith especially has a wide variety of uses during combat and missions that are very helpful.

4. Idk what your thoughts really were on your proposed depot box prices. 3.5ke is already a steep price, but asking for 10ke+ for boxes in depot basically means the only people who will be able to afford the boxes, and subsequently items from those boxes are merchants and people who spend $$$ for energy. That totally defeats the purpose of depoting boxes to make items easier to obtain for the average player. You would be spending the equivalent of $100 USD worth of energy in order to open one confection box.

Couldn't agree more with Yatez here, especially with the pricing of the boxes. Why would most people other than merchants buy into obscenely expensive loot boxes? You'll just be shuffling money amongst yourselves and accomplish nothing in the end other than bumping the prices back up for like a week or two (and I imagine doing this too much will yield diminishing returns). I've gone over it before but even 3.5ke is way too much for a lootbox. We already have a system for those: $5 for one box, $20 for 5 (1 bonus), and $50 for 14 (4 bonus). Making them a flat 3.5ke is just making things worse than they were before. And let's be real. 30ke for a confection box? Are you serious?

Agony I see where you're coming from but you have to understand that in the confection prize box are some very desired items i.e. the mixmaster and battle chef costumes and in other boxes its higher chances to get better items.

And to Yatez, the reason energy is low is because there's no real demand for it. With a guaranteed box every weekend people will start dealing in E and will start saving for the different boxes based on what they need, and also making costumes more accessible.

Also for battle sprite, I know exactly how to use them brother, but it doesn't make sense that I can only use my sprite to speed boost (Drakon) and then he's out of commission till the 22nd century. I think that it would help the other two sprites out.

For Maskeraith, his ult has a knockback and thats very unhelpful for most clears. I suggest their ult has a gravitational pull or something of the nature kind of like the obsidian crusher while maintaining its explosion damage, making the ult very useful in clears as it primes the enemies for teammates and or yourself.

Also binding is a very lame system in my and many other opinions, but also the fact that you cannot unbind costumes sucks as well, it locks them permanently I think that the whole system should be removed, but if the game devs didn't want to change the system that much, I suggest adding unbind costumes !!

I think 3.5k e is a fair price, need to remember that 1 box is already rougly $10 usd but the good news is it can be obtained via crown -> energy.

For Pets, I think they are in a pretty good spot right now. Each one serves their purpose pretty well and have their tradeoffs. (ex. Drakon 2 and 3 abilities are very good, but their first ability sucks. Mask 1st and 2nd ability are great, but 3rd ability is eh)

instead of reworking existing pet abilities, making 2 more pets for the other 2 minerals would be way more interesting and exciting.

I'd also argue that Mask is very good, maybe the strongest pet imo (for solo at least). The issue is that there is no content that makes Mask shine besides SL which aren't very popular. atm drakon is the popular choice because speed is king in clockworks/fsc farming however its usage drops in SLs due to being harder content where survivability becomes more important which favors mask and sera more.
