Hi all, I've had SK sitting installed in my Steam library for years without being touched, and now the one time I go to see what's up I get hit with the Java Virtual Machine error message. I've un and re installed Java and SK, updated video and graphics cards, followed the technical problems FAQ, all while restarting my pc, and still nothing. Most suggestions online were for Minecraft but that runs just fine. This is a gaming laptop by the way.

If you have any extra.txt tweaks or similar mods, completely remove them. This is typically what causes this problem among returning players. They were broken with the Java update the game received some months ago. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then manually delete your local SK folder, which can be accessed easily by going to your Steam Library listing for SK, right clicking it, and then selecting ‘browse local files.’ Afterwards, validate your files to repair the missing installation, and it should work.
