-> I would like to suggest a new shard bomb that deals elemental and/or normal damage and has a fair chance of causing moderate fire status.
-> Currently, the core explosion results in a small damaging area-of-effect as well as shards being emitted. I would like to suggest that this core explosion will additionally emit shockwaves (similar to Brandish charge attacks) in all cardinal and intercardinal directions immediately after detonation. Ideally, these shockwaves travel very fast or instantaneously to align with the shard spawns. At the end of the shockwave animations, upon disappearing, shards will spawn where they usually spawn in their respective cardinal and intercardinal locations. This will strengthen shard bombs and make them more consistent in dishing out damage.
-> Bringing these damage-dealing bombs to a party may spread enemies around causing frustration among teammates. Therefore, I would also like to suggest a reduction or even elimination of the knockback from the shards. I am not sure what the function is for the knockback to begin with -- enemies may be pushed into you or onto allies, damaging them. Or the knockback can push enemies away from you or allies. Either way, it introduces a kind of chaos that feels overly punishing for a damage-dealing bomb.
blast bombs also push enemies away, the problem with Shards is not a 3º layer of damage wich could be nice, and was already discused, the problem is not the mambo of knock-backs... the problem is the half an hour it takes for it to do something. Because shards bombs have 2 explosions and the ring takes forever to explode, perhaps on pvp that was a deterence, and denied areas... no one is playing that anyway... check the Blast bombs post! on the arsenal.
See you soon
