If the new announcement/update is true and taken at face value it seems to imply lockbox chances were, until this point, rigged unfairly towards certain knights for attributes such as account age or activity (and possibly others implied by 'etc.'). It feels strange to me that the announcement just glosses over that when its possible some players have been getting an unfair penalty towards getting boxes for attributes they didn't even know about.
It would be appreciated if we could atleast know the full extent of this, specifically what exact factors actually influenced box chances and by how much ,l(e.g do older accounts get 10% more boxes or something??). I know it doesn't mean much now since its supposedly fixed but it feels a bit insulting to just drop the fact some players have had unbalanced odds (maybe not significantly, but thats why I want to know the exact details and not the vagueness given in the announcement) for potentially over a decade of the games existence.
Its only fair, right??
It used to be something like this:
You'd get 1 basically guaranteed box each month.
For every 7 metal lockboxes you'd increase the cap by 1 (this was permanent).
Having boxes in your inventory supposedly reduced the chances of you getting a box while you weren't capped.
Having silver keys supposedly did the opposite.
Older accounts that actively opened boxes were basically getting more of them per month which seemed like a fair system (you get rewarded for engaging with it).
There were probably other factors that I do not remember off the top of my head and someone much better informed on the topic will probably bring up (if not correct me).
Now the odds should be even and not impacted by anything.
