Greetings!
Me and my friends experiencing huge lag spikes on EU servers. Sometimes I can't load arcade level at all. When I'm trying to descend (let's say from T2 Moorcroft Manor) I'm just getting black screen and nothing happens. If I load, my connection feels too unstable, it's just impossible to play. I can't move properly and I'm teleporting all over the place. I'm not having issues with lag spikes on US servers, but I can't load into Arcade here aswell. It's not good at all, especially with Mysterious Spikes limited time event going on. It's the weekend, and I might be not able to play the game from monday to friday, which makes me upset. Can you fix this, please?

I am also experiencing a similar issue on US servers. Trying to use any elevator or loading into a different section in haven gives me a black screen with the only option to interact with the settings menu.

Haven't been able to play an
Haven't been able to play an arcade level yet, tried for the first time tonight, tried verifying files with no success.
I put in a bug report so hopefully we get a solution quickly.
I can create a lobby and step on the elevator, I usually rubberband a couple times before stepping on the elevator, I think those issues might be related.
Sometimes I can return to haven when I open the menu and I see in chat I get a message that says "m.no_such_place".

We've flagged this for the developers and they're looking into it. In the meantime, if you enabled Discord Beta in settings, please try disabling it to see if it makes a difference. Please keep us posted on the outcome!
My answer:
I did not use Discord Beta.
This is a global server issue. Probably server overuse. Not sure a developper can help. An admin likely needs to restart server apps.

It has been fixed. There was an update and reboots.
Event is on again.

The team has already investigated and a server reboot is currently in progress that should resolve the issues you've been experiencing.

Im having this issue again
I was able to play perfectly yesterday after the server reset. However, I am currently having the exact issues I was having before the server reset.
Trying to load anything other than Haven and the starting gates gives me a black screen.

Issue definitely is back
The lag is definitely back, and like before, it was ramping up again.
It started off fine when i first played the update, and also when i first played this morning at 13:00 UK time, but then it's degraded back to the intense rubberbanding that there was before.
Australia server's like the only one that isn't crippled, but even then it's not a good choice for me to play there to avoid lag as that doesn't fix the lag for me entirely.
If it is true that some people are going overboard on farming the spikes, then this is likely part of the cause.
At the very least these spikes are directly linked to it, and it ramps up over time.
This probably wouldn't be a problem in isolated tests, but it's definitely bad here with numerous people taking part.
With these Spikes and Spiked enemies, this lag is a massive problem, making it nigh impossible to even fight speed-demon enemies, and that plus the mandatory fight sections makes floors become a garuanteed death, which then makes getting the highest tier spikes impossible as that's several Depths lower than the start of Tier 3 and surviving to there would be a miracle.
Even using guns won't help 'cause Spiked enemies can close the distance. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
I WANT to play, but if i can't even get past one floor because a Spiked enemy killed me while lag rubberbands me and denies me my attacks, then why should i even try.
We really need this lag fixing, and if it takes way too long to fix, then the event should be extended.

a potential solution?
It sounds like the servers were functioning, or mostly functioning for about 8-12 hours after the server restart. if all GH did was perform a server refresh (which i doubt that is the only thing they did as they seem to have made two custom gates for an easier farming experience) then wouldn't it be realistic to set an automated server refresh to occur every 8-12 hours with that same 90 minute warning timer that was present yesterday?
I am probably wrong about it being that simple, but if it is that simple it would be a great way to at a minimum keep the servers functioning while they figure out a more permanent solution.

What I don't understand is so many ppl farming so intensely that it breaks the servers. Those spikes are kinda easy to get. I didn't dupe, just farmed relaxed, and the servers were down half the time and yet I made the first two guns and am more than half in making the 4 star. There is still lots of time in the event. Okay, I am super endgame and all maxed on my main, but I think I could even do this with my smurf. It will just be a bit slower. Maybe I will, when I'm done with my main.

FIXED again
Just played a whole t3 run and just had 3 lag spikes.
Got >100 of each of the t3 spike types, btw. I really don't understand why ppl need to farm this with alts etc..
Same happening here, it seems like it's getting progressively worse as well.
