I'm happy to see a new color variant of this shield being available for purchase, but I find the decision of removing the original version quite frustrating, and from what I can see in the UI, mentioning this is a "limited time item", I imagine this will happen with other Apocrea re-runs in the future.
Last time Apocrea was available I was not able to obtain the Obsidian Obstacle since I was taking a break from the game, so I was hopping once the rerun came I'd be able to get it alongside whatever other new cosmetics would get added, but now it seems that's not going to happen.
I won't act like this is a massive problem or anything of the sorts, because it really isn't, specially considering the craftable event weapons still remain available. But it's certainly a bit of a bummer and this decision seems to detract from the experience more than add anything to it and I hope this doesn't become a trend with other events.
If true that's a pretty scummy move. There was no indication last time around that the costume was going to be a limited one-and-done thing, nor should it be in the first place. Not everyone's going to have the time or even ability to grind out all of those tokens in a single event. Adding new costume options is great, but they should be additions to previous rewards, not replacements. We should be trying to get FOMO nonsense out of the game as much as possible.
