Currently the only place you will obviously be able to explore is inside the Clockwork, but why not allow us to explore more of the surface of the planet?
It would allow for something to do rather than just log off or sit around waiting for energy to regenerate.

It would be nice to be able to explore the planet. It could be a less affluent area, with fewer monsters and item drops. But you know, it's still a place to play.
and I'd think you wouldn't have to pay energy.
You could also probably find more lifts.
But I'm pretty sure this is coming, considering at the beginning of the game you walk around on the surface of the planet and fight enemies.
It's obvious that this is coming. The entire east side of Haven is "under construction"
