More Beasts!

Kiss-Stealer

Let's get right into it - it seems to me that the Beast enemy type is a little underdeveloped at the moment, it's literally only wolvers and chromalisks, and dust-bunnies in compounds. I think that there should be more of them, and I've got a couple of free ideas for them, because I love this game and would like to see more fun enemies to fight! Adding more beasts, especially ones that could roam the world even outside the beast-levels would also lift the prestige of piercing-damage class. All the things mentioned here are free to use or get inspired by. If you feel grateful enough for my ideas - you can just pay me with some crowns in-game!

Idea #1: Birdie Long-Legs, normal mob
A Bird-looking mob, rougly the size of a chromalisk, except with comically long legs! The legs enable the Bird to move in really long directed steps, one after another, instead of chasing afters knights at a steady pace like most mobs. The legs of this bird are also so long and lanky, that they enable them to ignore smaller mobs when walking, letting them stand in pretty much the exact same space as - for example, a wolver. They would be as tall as 2 or 3 mobs stacked on top of each other. The Knights would have to remember to aim for the legs when attacking, cause that's where they can reach them!
Their attack pattern would work like this - The Bird puts his legs down firmly, and from the place it has occupied - it becomes kinda like a stationary turret - pecking down at enemies within it's range! It would take aim, bend back, and them slam down with it's beak!

Idea #2: Crabbolisk, mini-boss mob
I've looked all around for cool animals to turn into Beast-like enemies, and I think something like a Crab would be the most interesting, because of the way they move! Most enemies in this game just chase after the player in a straight line, but crabs are really unique animals - because they're the fastest when moving to the side! So they would chase after Knights in unique, bent strides! They would ideally be pretty big - I would say a little bigger than a Lumber even. I think they should have 2, maybe 3 attacks. A Downward slam with it's claw, A pinching-grab that would immobilize the Knight for a bit-kinda like freeze does, except it's not freeze, but you can still free an allied knight from the pinch by attacking them! They won't use that move against solo-knights though, that would be bad. And a special move - bubble breath ray! This one is really special because it could do all sorts of things - damage knights, heal allies, inflict status effects, maybe all of those things at the same time! I would lean towards healing allies and damaging enemies at the same time - because as of right now there's only Gremlin and Fiend healers as enemies in this game, could use some more in my opinion! Also crabs are really nice to customize, because they have huge backs that have plenty of space for some decorations - like spikes and insignia and such!

Looking forward to feedback as usual! :3

Sounds fun

The bird sounds like that novelty toy where it swings back and forth to "drink water"

I do think that for both of these we could get some more enemies as well, in addition to new level formats... for the bird it could be rocky crags and boulders interconnected with Clockworks paths probably with some Gremlins who were also exploring and mining the rocks.

The crab could get a whole beach/waterfall/waterway type of level where the floor is covered in a thin layer of water along with deeper section you can't walk in. Add in some more enemies based on other aquatic animals and you've got a unique level.

Both of these can also have new scenario rooms added to a variety of levels where they can also show up.

Some Enemies ideas for the Beast Type monsters i have though

A Cross of a bear and an Urching (It explains why Wolvers haven´t taken them into extinction) that release spikes in all directions, Allegedly a distant parent of the Snarbolax (which have adapted pretty well to the Clockworks) they´re hard to damage in close combat but are always open to long range attacks and suchs. Its a really Big foe that can also slash and bite ir careless near one.

A Boar-Like monster bigger than an Alpha Wolver, it has many long and big fangs and horns, it sprints similarly to Cavalrier undeads, but when it crash into a wall,it generates a little normal damage explosion and auto stun for a couple of secs. It moves slighty away other mobs or it crash on them and stun both of them.

An Sleepy Dragon, fat, big, slow... Survivor from the ancient eras of the Cloclworks, it is inmune to damage, but fairly lazy and carefree. Possible to communicate if given interest in. It can be damaged when it yawns in its mouth. and stays stationary all the time the fight occurs. When defeated, instead of dissapearing it just open its wings and flees to a more comfortable place, leaving behind some goodies. (And maybe guaranted dragon scales material)

A big bug, a kind of giant rollypoly that whit spikes on its back, like some short of big shankle that avoids bombs like a devilitie avoids gunshots

a Floating ray that glides on floor level and releases an energy blast when the player get closer to it, always produces shock alongside its other variations, any damage source produces inmense knockback on these (Watch out for grieffers)

Wolver Shaman, a misterious humanoid being that has domesticated many wolvers and alpha wolvers, it produce an energy shield using forest magic while it works has an enemy spawner for wolvers, in the likenes a toxoil polyp does for toxoils.

A big Rhyno made of stone and condensed thunders, high defense, can be damaged once it crashes onto anything, being like a Trojan equivalent for beast type. (Supposed rival of the Vog wolvers in a misterious place called the Long Praeries)
