Charge Attack usefulness

I think it would be great if more thought and care was put into designing weapon's Charge Attacks. In my opinion it's the most fun when the Charge attack does something that the main attacks don't - accomplish something unique, to make the moveset feel complete. Like when you take Blasters for example - their charge attack is really boring. Not even talking about the fact that it's weak. My point is that it does literally when the regular attacks do, just a bit harder. Or the recently-buffed cutters - their charge attack just does pretty much what the regular attacks do, except it locks you in place. There's no real reason to do it. Sure - we can just buff the damage or stagger or something and it would gain some relevance, but to be truly useful it would have to do something that is desireable and different from what the regular attacks accomplish.
For the cutters I even have an idea - it could a single, powerful swing that staggers, but weak knockback, fast recovery, that leaves a cloud of spinning blades in the place it's been swung at, creating a bit of an AoE there, something not too big, but still effective.
So yeah - it's cool that some weapons can be most prized for either their charge, or their regular attacks, but a truly complete weapon should have both! Thoughts?

yep

You are right, that some weapons (maybe half?) have pretty dull charge attacks. I agree, that it's preferable when the charge attack is qualitatively different, rather than just quantitatively more. The question is what the qualities should be.

Also, it's possible that the Valiance charge attack is deliberately boring.
