Currently whenever a new player dares to make the decision to upgrade the base armor set the game progression provides, experienced players give them a concerned look, as there is no real benefit to using cobalt. Ideally Cobalt should provide a reliable, defensive benefit that helps new players get comfortable with the game, and is useful on any mission or floor. Solid normal and piercing defense stats alone generally don't suffice.

Change: All armor/helmet pieces from the cobalt line, including Almirian Crusader, come with the stat +1 emergency revive.
Wearing the complete set gives the player 3 emergency revives per floor.

Effect - switching off of Cobalt comes with a tangible downside. Though as sparks become abundant in player's inventory and the player gets familiar with enemy attack patterns, the player should feel comfortable to eventually switch from having +1 emergency revive for more useful stats.

Because dying is the most explicit form of negative feedback, it's also very easy for a player to tell when Cobalt no longer is useful to them.

What if

it has a bonus health more bigger than usual? i mean, it could be a lot more than other sets give to compensate, or that there are more variations of the set, i would love to see a Cold Cobalt set whit shadow defense

Yeah i know it has like higher health or defense, etc. Point is like you it doesn't really give enough? Like I've seen ppl tell new players constantly to, for their benefit, switch off of cobalt and use wolver or elemental instead. It takes a while to craft your second or third armor set, so Ideally the first one the player makes should provide some VERY GOOD benefit, especially if it's the set that gets pushed onto new players via progression rewards.

Maybe they could add the elemental cloak recipes

to mission rewards alongside the cobalts, but let the player choose wich of the 5* variants want to craft.

On other hand adding double revive would make it top tier over all other sets that aren´t meta, its that really worth it? i know some people will complaing willfully about such a change, however i will welcome it heartfully if happens.

Nah

Cobalt's biggest benefit is PRICE

The base set is free along with a full set of weapons, all of the recipes for their main line is also free...

6 items with a free base and recipes all the way up to 5 stars

The free base items would be 6,000 cr for recipes
3 star recipe set is 24,000 cr
4 star recipe set is 60,000 cr
5 star recipe set is 150,000 cr

Clocking it at 240,000 cr total saved from not having to buy any of the recipes

Plus at say.... a Market Price of 3000 CR for 100 CE..... that can get you.... 40 Sparks of Life

THERE is where your extra revive stat is...

-------

The second biggest benefit of Cobalt is that it is a Normal focused armor with Pierce defense.... this makes it very serviceable for the first two major bosses which are both Pierce damage and low enough in the Clockworks that a lot of their damage is Normal

I think that is a bad response. No one in good faith would advise a new player to stick to cobalt and use the money they saved to buy sparks.

The main issue of Cobalt is that the progression "expects" the player to upgrade it well past Slime King.

(also @Cetta I doubt the set would be considered op when the alternative is better armor stats and bringing more sparks)

you are right

maybe they should add more debuff resistance to Cobalt armors, currently its an armor without any debuff resistance, and maybe it could add Poison and Fire resistance, i mean... its a metallic material donde whit dragon scales in its azure version, by both aspects of the armor it should be resistant to such elements. Maybe its not much but its better than nothing. (Pls also health bonus like it was partially a deluxe vitakit)
