I hae 1000 crowns and over 200 energy, but it won't let me. Unless I actually do need the special Skelly Suit.

They never explained that in game. They really need to have that in a tutorial when you go to first transmute armor. Now I just wasted 4k on a recipie I can't use. >:(

I thought it was pretty clear
I thought it was pretty clear on the list of ingredients that you needed a given piece of equipment with a given heat level... You can use the recipe, you just need to either craft the lower level equipment or buy it off the AH.
