was just thinking... how did the ppl who had to pay 7k for energy still manage to play this game? especially getting those 4* items? you cant even use your crown to pay for more energy because most likely you wont have enough money to reach that 7k goal. This is both a rant and a question
higher energy prices = less reason to do stuff?
It's almost like people had patience.
there is a saying.
Patience is wonderful till it ****S you over. >_>;
You just made that up; that's not a saying at all.
Actually, I forgot where I heard it but, I can't claim credit.
Either way, for whatever it is worth it is true.
sooo... anyone got any tipsXD excluding jelly king runs?
actually, even better, how much did it cost you ppl who had to craft 4*-5* equips??
Either way, for whatever it is worth it is true.
I wish I could hate you to death.
I paid 20k for an Arc Razor.
Energy is about 4k per 100 atm.
So roughly 16k for 400 energy.
And another 10k for recipe.
probably another random 6k in items.
So about 56k for my 4 star sword is what I hope to have paid.
I have found whats generally said around here works best. Explore the whole level.. Cut every blade of grass because, there is almost something under it every time. Sell whatever you can get in the auction house.
A great bit of advice I saw.. Remap your shield key.. I personally mapped it to my mouse.. left for attack right for shield. That is just me though easier to defend. Also, if your going to use energy make the most out of it.. Don't go to level 1 then come right back up after completing it.. If your able to to at least 7 or so.
If your not able just go as far down as possible before coming back up.
Really?
You mean to tell me you have never gotten screwed over by having patience?
Edit: Ignore me. Move along, nothing to see here.
Edit: Sure thing. Maybe we will get along better when I'm feeling a bit more normal.
Get friends, jump in their runs at floor 14 or higher for JK. Profit.
there needs to a vendor where u can buy ce so they can stay about same price without huge fluactuations.
lately there's hardly any profits going on a trip 1, 2.
clearin a tier 1 gives about 2k thats 50CE.....and u gain a bunch of uselss items which goes about 500cr to 700cr
tier 2
Very difficult tier to solo, even having a party of 4's arenas are hard to beat
without arena 2-3k...and very bad drops especially things people don't need
with arena 3-5k IF u manage to beat it without wastin CE to revive :P
in end tier one earns u about 500cr, tier 2 makes about 1kcr except sometimes u die by lag, very sad story
There is one. It's just east of the AH and if you give him money he'll give you CE.
Yes he sells it for crowns too. Click on the tabs at the top and you'll get current market price for CE. About 4200 for 100 CE right now.
To stay on topic with the OP, a lot of people quit playing when energy hit 7k. Also, most players would only play on mist energy or craft haze bombs.
One upside to 7k CE prices is that players who purchase CE, generally new players, get a lot more out of the CE they purchase and these purchases help lower the price of CE.
"..a lot of people quit playing when energy hit 7k."
And the player run energy economy is praised as a godsend.. why?
I'm confused. So many on the forums insist that it is the only way the game can and should work, but before Steam it was putting this game out of business. Everyone that was here before Steam admits it to. No one was playing with CE at those prices because it was nigh impossible to break even on a run. They'll also freely admit that the lower prices have allowed new AND old players to play much more often. That can only be good for the game.
Yet they act like a system that was eagerly putting the game out of business is the best thing since sliced bread. I won't act like I know what the solution is, but that line of logic just doesn't flow. To answer the OP, people DIDN'T play the game with those prices. Every vet you speak to will admit the game was a ghost town before Steam.
You shouldn't get your feelings hurt. It's a free to play game and they give you 100 energy to play with every 22 hours. Yes the economy is a bit wonky. By playing smart you can stretch or remove the limitations.
If you enjoy the game that much and spend 20$ on CE, every floor you play (10 energy) costs you a mere 2.6 cents. Seeing as a floor lasts approx 10 minutes, I don't think that 16 cents is too costly for an hour of game time.
Ever been to an arcade?
My mother would never give me quarters for an arcade as a child.
Probably a good decision. Wise was she to the arcade quarter eating scheme.
Anyway, I'm just wondering what is with the two faced people on this forum. The logic doesn't follow. I'm happy with the game as is. CE seems to have held at 4-4.2k over the course of days. So that looks rather promising. At that price I can play perpetually while slowly making a profit. I still got a starter pack just as a sort of cushion, and being able to craft NOW then store more energy later(since I'm better equipped to do so with better stuff!). The game is at a great balance point. Buying CE is entirely encouraged while not being required to play. I'm just confused about the logic is all. The 7k prices were killing the game. Therefor it was the best thing ever.
@BuffCookie
Most people I know had at least 10k CE hoarded before prices rose to 7k for 100 so they weren't really affected. I don't know who you consider a vet but if they couldn't afford to play during the 7k period then I don't think they really were vets. To understand what people are saying you must know that even though 7k prices were prohibitive for average players, veterans could easily afford it.
I only started in the last few days myself but, I'm guessing that even at 7k crowns..
it is still manageable to buy energy if your doing high level requirement stuff.
Plus keep in mind there are a lot more "casual" gamers out there who aren't nearly as effected by caps on how much you can play.
I mean there are millions of facebook gamers who are perfectly content playing any given game an hour or so a day then going do something else.
If they never get to "hardcore levels" they don't care.
VS. people who have the "hardcore gaming" mentality who want to play a lot of one game on any given day.. which is really the minority when it comes to "gamers" these days.
