Hello, I'm fairly new to spiral knights. Althou in the couple of days i've been playing, me and my buddies have already reached tier 3-4 gear.
The game is immensly fun and somewhat relaxing.

There is one question thou, i myself have a friend living over at the US, we would love to have her playing togheter with us.

Aswell as myself do travell alot between US-EU and Southeast-Asia.
I don't know how this game will effect me through steam thou for me when i'm at the US or visiting my family in Southeast-Asia.

As for my friend, is there any possibility for her to make a account and play on the EU servers? Or is the game even region devided. I dont even know.

Im confused.

Halp.

There is no EU servers. There

There is no EU servers. There are only instances for specific languages but they are still located in the US. There is no region blocks as far as im concerned on the standalone client i heard there are some on Steam though. Also, there is no Tier 4.

yeah i ment Stars, im used to

yeah i ment Stars, im used to saying tier aka level.

regardless, this is good thing to know, now i know i can play with my buddies at the other side of world.

most games theese days have region locks, much to my dismay, althou i can understand the reason for it, but im willing to live in a 100ms world but be palying with my friends.

and so far i experience lagg in this game, but its nothing half-bad and is fully livable with.

They have region blocks

They have region blocks because all those companies buy licenses to publish a game, and those licenses usually grant them only right for allowing specific regions to play.

or sometimes theyre downright

or sometimes theyre downright stupid, such as nexon. there is no "sea" vindictus server, and yet there they are, blocking people from logging into a peer to peer game... then theres the vindictus forums filled with idiots - but thats a different subject
