Where is the Steam account linking?

Wasn't there supposed to be an update that let us link our accounts to our Steam accounts this week? What happened to that? Any news?

Hoping it's ready soon. They've got to work with the Steam folks to make this happen, so the delay might not be wholly on the Three Rings end-- maybe there was some unexpected issue popping up on the Steam end.

Nope
no news as I have been checking in anticipation. The place to check if you wanted to yourself are the twitter account and the announcements section in these forums. My guess is since they already were working on a content update that maybe steam slowed them down a bit. We still have the rest of the day for them to make the usual thurs bi- weekly content patch. We also have the rest of the week for them to meet the promise of " next week" that was posted about the steam integration.

Also I believe they're in Pacific time, 3 hours behind the Eastern time zone that I (and presumably a number of other players) live in. It's currently just about 10AM over there, so they likely just arrived to work one or two hours ago. Give it a bit.

Dirt wasn't defining "ETA"
Dirt wasn't defining "ETA" ([E]stimated [T]ime of [A]rrival), which is a noun. Dirt was defining "Estimate," which can be noun or a verb.
The point is, they were guessing when they came up with the ETA, because that's what an estimate is: guesswork. It's not a guaranteed schedule or timetable.

Interfacing forum accounts... Perhaps this is progress on interfacing game accounts.
Or maybe it means there was a delay and they couldn't even begin work on interfacing accounts until just Wednesday.
