Hi guys/Girls,

How high of a resistance to fire in terms of UV's does Vog have, just a single peice either a coat or cap?

If for instance i got a medium fire resistance UV on a Wolver coat, then upgraded it to a 'Skolver coat' would that coats fire resistance actually be greater than a vog's?

Do UV's increase after each upgrade they go through? so if you buy a wolver coat then when its dusker the uv's bar will be longer? providing more room to increase?

Sorry if this has all been addressed, i dont want to waste too much money to find out i should have just saved it and gain no benefit :)

The Vog set has fire resist

The Vog set has fire resist max on the cap and coat. It takes two maxs to "max" out your resistance. The armors original resist (ex: Vog's fire resist) does increase as it levels, maxing out at max. However, UVs do not increase when they level up.

In short, if you make Skolver coat with medium fire resist UV, you will fall short by about eight "levels" of resistance, no where near the complete Vog's fire resist.

Let me know if I didn't explain this well enough.

the longer answer

... is that no one actually knows. The bars appear to be anything but uniformly meaningful. Players have reported immunity from one piece of fire resist gear and a second with a low UV. There is the very real possibility that a medium UV and one piece of vog provides better resistance than a complete vog set. Technically, what blaQk has posted is true in terms of how bars fill out, though, a med UV fills half as much of your fire resist bar as a piece of the vog cub set.

The reason the bars fill out differently is because pieces of armor only have low, medium, high and max possible unique variants. So, in reality to have the most resistance you can possibly get, you need to fill eight total bars, which takes two max unique variants. So, if you have a fire resist medium unique variant on the coat, and made it into the Vog Cub Coat, your fire resistance will be six out of eight "bars" filled. However, I haven't made a piece of equipment that has the same unique variant that the equipment already offers. But following basic logic, if you made a Vog Cub Coat that had the unique variant fire resist max, you would have the most fire resistance you could get, only in one piece of equipment because the coat already has one max, plus the unique variant's max.

tl;dr: If you want the most protection you can get, have two max resists against whatever status you want to resist, whether it be via unique variants or the equipments already implemented resistance.
