I just started playing this game and it seems pretty cool, but I have a problem and I'm not sure if I'm missing something. My girlfriend
and her brother both started out with energy and from what I can read your supposed to start with enough to get to the second area "Haven" and then you get something called a mist tank. My problem is she started out with 1 energy. After digging and digging it seems her energy is somehow ... "linked" to my energy? I had 1 energy, but after it regenerated to 2 she logged onto her account and she had 2...when hers was at 3 I had 3....what gives? She'd like to play this game it looks really good but this energy problem is not giving her a very good first impression.

Thanks for any help!

Energy is linked on all

Energy is linked on all accounts on the same computer. You can "separate" the mist regeneration by buying energy on the accounts. Any amount will do.

I was planning on paying for

I was planning on paying for some...however being forced into it has kind of pissed her off so now she doesn't want to play....bad move on OOO part in my opinion but whatever. Thanks for the posting...I just found the same answer in the faq(I somehow missed it before) .

Edit : After doing further diggin I can understand OOOs reasoning now...but it still kinda sucks for those of us NOT trying to cheat the system. Oh well... what can I do.. not much except buy the energy(or more correctly her because I don't have a paypal)...which like I said is why she doesn't want to play, but anyways I'll let this thread die now.

It's a tiny price to pay

It's a tiny price to pay honestly. It has a decent amount of content for a new game, and updates often. There are still a few things to tweak, but in all honesty you can think of it as this. You're not paying $15 a month to play, and you're certainly not paying $60 for the game itself. You're only paying $2.45, for actual currency in the game. So it's a win win. It's not only allowing you to play, but it's also giving you a good head start. Basically letting you jump right into T2.

Yeah thats kinda how I see

Yeah thats kinda how I see it, I don't mind myself. But her attitude is..hey this game is freet to play/try ...if I like it I'll put money in...but then her first experience with the game is being treated like shes trying to cheat/get-around-the-rules.

you need to use separate

you need to use separate computers and never ever log in on the same computer or the accounts will link together. if her character is new and hasnt done anything anyway, have her open a new account on a different computer, then just make sure no one else but her logs in through that computer.
