I started playing Spiral Knights a week ago and I really like it. I played for a couple of hours on wednesday but then thursday came around. The new Bugfix was released and I started the game. The patcher came up, downloaded the files, patched to 100% about 3 times and then on the fourth it came up with the error:
"The application has failed to launch due to the following error:
Unexpected end of file from server"
So as many people would do when encountering this; I looked on the forums. I found no trace of this. I searched it on google and found three posts on this forum about it with the exact same thing I was thinking, "Is this going to be fixed?" In an attempt to get rid of the error, I uninstalled java and spiral knights and restarted my computer. I re-downloaded both of them(java first) and it did the same thing mentioned earlier. Thinking it was because I was using steam, I tried the downloadable client. It didn't work. I tried the browser form of the game. It didn't work. I then, in an attempt to get some support from the actual team, sent an email to them using the support portal explaining the situation. I'm still waiting on a reply and I have no bother with that, as long as the problem is fixed.
All I want to know is if you (Three Rings) are doing anything to solve this for the many people I have seen with the same problem, including myself.

I got still the same problem, but i could solve it once, maybe this can help you. Close your Antivirus-programm and start the patch again.
Once it worked at mine, but now it doesn't work. just try it.
