I'm a old Phantasy Star player (I discovered SK via SegaPass) and so, I'm kinda used to see old Sega easter eggs/items basically everywhere I go. And not only used to it, but I love it too.

I like to see some old characters from my childhood, in form of references and items. Not only Sonic and his (frikkin') furry friends, but Golden Axe, Phantasy Zone/OpaOpa, After Burner, Outrun, Space Channel 5, Space Harrier...

I know some will probably say "lol no sega sucks", and I know there is a bunch of games that Sega published but never actually put their finger inside them.
BUT, I would like to see some silly cameos.
Maybe a OpaOpa gun, maybe Sonic's rings as some sort of shield, maybe a Golden Axe as a weapon.

Well, Steam have a helm in this game. So why not Sega's items?

Disclaimer: I know the difference between a Developer and a Publisher. I know Sega (or Sonic Team) didn't created this game, and I know the only thing that "unite" Sega and Three Rings is Spiral Knights. Oh yeah, I know this game isn't a spinoff of Phantasy Star Online (or Gurren Lagann... Or Is It?).

I didn't think about this, but your right. Steam, who mearly partnered with this game like it did with so many others. Yet Sega, the publisher of the game, doesn't have a single cameo. Perhaps armor based some of their characters. Main characters could get armor, sub characters could get weapons.

I do not relish the thought

I do not relish the thought of hundreds of chumps in Sonic bobbleheads bumbling around the place, but something referencing such as Metal Sonic, or some Golden Axe-esque weapons or armour, might be good. My principle concern is making sure any new additions fit the established style of the game the way the Steam helm does, rather than being cameos for the sake of it.

I'm not a fan on pointless

I'm not a fan on pointless cameos,much like in PSO, sonic characters are probably some of the least appropriate crossover candidates.
Let's just stay with the adorable knight midgets.

well, it does appear that wolvers are doing the same sort of spin-jumping when they make their appearance that near every character in the Sonic games does. Plus they're jumping right of the ground like in some of the older Sonic games (most notably done by Knuckles to sucker-punch Super Sonic in Sonic 3 and then he ran off with all his emeralds).

I'd like to see a boss who is a reference to Metal Sonic's battle with Knuckles from S3&K though- A giant fast-moving metal Wolver who briefly powers himself with energy from the Core and you have to strike him while he's recharging?

A bizarre and random appearance of Sonic, out of nowhere, like in PSO, would be really bizarre. (even though, I heard that Mann Co. randomly mails you if you are playing on Steam, so yeah)
But, I would like to see some little references in form of items, like a new Heavy Sword/Troika-style weapon, with the design of a axe made of gold. Then, call it Golden Axe and put some silly description about Death Adder. Profit!
