Since it can be hard to spot new pages when there's a flood of edits, this thread is for mentioning new ones that you'd like other editors to review for content and possibly for appropriate screenshots if needed.

Two of my recent ones are:

It's not exactly a new page for review, but I am looking for input into what folks think would be good to have on the Main Page - for both new players & easy reference for current players. Discussion can be found on the talk page here. I'll also check and see if the SK artists want any visual input into the "new" Main Page, but I'd definitely like to get player input for the actual link content.

While I'm at it, I will also ask for input into what you'd want in the sidebar. Discussion's here.

It's not entirely new, but for the swords, handguns, bombs, armor, helmets, and shields pages I have switched to a template that uses stats images for all of them (instead of the numbers which hadn't been updated for a while or were missing for most items) and added the series info for the ones that I know of. The series name is based on the lowest level piece of equipment for the alchemy upgrading path. Items not used to upgrade to better items do not have a series listed.

Needs updating template

I created a Needs updating template so that we can tag all incorrectly uploaded/outdated images. My goal for this is to make it easier to track down and edit outdated/incorrectly uploaded images.

What constitutes an "incorrectly uploaded" image is an image that does not follow the style guidelines. It could also include incorrectly cropped images (in that case, I usually just crop the existing image and re-upload it). The one question I have though, is the bombs. I prefer seeing the bombs in the character window, but I've seen images of bombs shown when they're charged (so you can see the front). Which one of these do we prefer?

Oooo that's better than the little template I made the other week, much more inclusive. I'll switch the tag on some fuzzy images to use yours. I did a minor rewording of the category.

For bomb images, I think we should stick with the character window ones for consistency.

Excellent, thanks! The list looks a little busy since it's so dense. I think a separate section for each with {{main|Bombs}} at the beginning of each. I'll upload the various icons for all of them too. (including the button for getting to the Arsenal if I haven't already done so.

Thinking of what new players would need, a screenshot of the menu you get for the items that things can be done with (like learn recipe, equip/costume) would also be good. I'll toss in a disambig page for inventory that points to this and to the pickups as those are the two inventory type things folks might look for.

It's not new, but can someone look over the level icons and see if it's okay? I know I'm missing a dinosaur head and the other monster face image but I don't know what to call them.

We're also going to make: LEVEL PAGES! It'll list the type of rooms (arena, mini-boss fights, clockworks, etc) and HOPEFULLY we can clear up any FAQs new players will have. That's not to say questions are unwelcome, but it's nice to have lots of information at your disposal if you're a new player ^^;

I think the buying energy with crowns should be made clear on the Energy Depot page.

I could shift all that new FAQ info to the Energy page. I didn't put it there originally cause it feels more like a technical help page than a game mechanics page.

Yes, it is clear on the Energy Depot page, but a FAQ will compile all of the frequently asked questions in one location. I still suggest moving it to Energy FAQ and having it cover the questions that are being repeated on the forums over and over again. I wouldn't merge it into the energy page as that would make it a bit too long and would hide the questions among the other info when the intent of the page is just to be able to send someone there so they can see their question and get the answer to it.

New Technique!

In reference to your "Shield Shoving" Strategie Leav, I wanted to point out a interesting technique i found out. Im not sure if its been known to you or the players or if it is this "Shield Shoving" Technique. But here it is. I call it the "COUNTER BLOCK" OR "BLOCK CANCEL." This technique is very useful in attacking enemeis grouped around you or enemies who may attack you while you attack them. Its a quick way to deflect (Counter) their attacks while getting a good hit on them. I especially use this technique while charging; since it takes good damage to charge attack. What you do is charge your sword and the moment you let go chain the attack with a sudden block. The attack will pull through and suddenly connect or cancel to a block. like you where saying, the block also "shoves" the enemies back giving the player a distance from the enemies and to move being defended. This Technique reminds me of Zelda after doing Link's spining attack and blocking. I'd be honored if you could add it to the strategy page if you see fit. Thx and God Bless!

Here:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Stratum
The idea is to gather all the level names a stratum can create in a single place. It's kind of messy at the moment though.
Repeating my edit comment: Someone with ideas please organize/fill this into something more useful.

Also made this stub the other day: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Vog
I'll probably make a vog_cub stub later with info about the removed monster.

Advanced Techniques Page on wiki!

I'd like to show you guys this advanced techniques page I'm working on. I just started 1 hour ago, but there's already animations showing what these techniques look like.

Advanced Techniques: Shield Cancel, Shield Charge, Shield Bump

Spiral Knights provides us with a few not so known techniques that can improve our game-play and effectiveness. Some of these techniques require a minimum of tech-skill and practice to really see the benefits (SC), but others are very basic and probably known by many (SB). List of known Advanced Techniques:

Shield Cancel (SC): One of the most useful techniques, specially with swords. This tech is based on holding your shield as soon as you attach with your sword, this will cause an animation cancellation in your attack, making your attack not only finishing quicker, but also having the chance of shield bumping or blocking an enemy's attack.

http://oi53.tinypic.com/2mr8g7l.jpg In this animation I'm shield canceling with my calibur, and as soon as the animation cancels I do the next attack. Notice how the shield doesn't show, but it still causes a shield bump if an enemy is close enough. If timed perfectly, the shield shouldn't show. I will make more animations with more specific situations and other ways to implement shield cancelling. *Understand that applying this technique with a proper timing will make you not only attack quicker than your actual sword combo, but you will also shield bump while staying in the same place!**

Shield Charge (SCH): This technique is basically a way to start your charged attack directly from shielding. While shielding, hold your attack button at the same time, as if you wanted to charge your attack inside your shield. If you wait a little, then release your shield while still holding your attack, you will come out of your shield charging your attack directly. This works for all kinds of weapons, and gives you the chance of charging your attack from a defensive move, instead of the usual initial swing (Swords), or shot(guns).

Shield Bumping (SB): Widely known technique, not really hard to apply. This technique works as a pushing barrier to get monsters out of the way, or to move/space them for your convenience. This technique is fairly fast so it comes in handy in many situations. To shield bump you have to tilt your shield on enemies. This will only work if the shield is activated near the enemy's hurtbox, and only if its done at the beginning of the shielding animation. [[ This page is currently under development. ]]

Shieldbearer Guide

Shields are a critical part of Spiral Knights and have a number of subtle and non-obvious mechanics; I thought we ought to have a page of collected information on them, and since I was unable to find one, I have created a Shieldbearer Guide. (I stole some of Gianfri's material above, since they seemed more like shield techniques than sword techniques to me.)

Input would be appreciated. Also, my experience with wiki-editing is fairly limited, so it's entirely possible I've overlooked some details in setting the page up.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that reviewing guild pages is the point of this thread. This thread exists so that wiki editors will check each others' work, to ensure quality control for important wiki pages. In contrast, guild pages can contain whatever their owners want (within reason), have no claim to factual accuracy, etc.

somewhat agree

Sir-Onox, of these three possibilities...
A. People edit important wiki pages valuable to the community.
B. People edit only unimportant pet pages such as guild pages.
C. People don't edit the wiki at all.
...I prefer A over B (like you), but I also prefer B over C. So I'm not too upset by the fact that, on a typical day, almost all Recent Changes on the wiki are edits of type B.

The-Rankor, try reloading the wiki page in your browser. I find that the wiki or my browser caches things strangely, and that reloading the page forces the newest version to appear, reliably.
