Make CI line more comparable to Leviathan line

Swords as cool looking as the Cold Iron line shouldn't be so inferior to the line that's purchasable in Haven. :(

The increased damage against undead doesn't even make the CI line do more damage to undead than the Lev line does, that's just... sad.

So yeah, basically I prefer the way the Cold Iron Vanquisher looks but all I ever hear about is how much better the Leviathan is, and I believe it, since my Cold Iron Carver's damage is pretty lackluster even against undead.

Seriously.

I originally went for the CIV over the Leviathan because if you look closely at the tool-tips the CIV shows near-infinitesimally more damage than the Leviathan. I assumed the fact that the Leviathan started with slightly higher damage at it's base value was there to counter-act the increased Undead damage. But when complete, CIV still under-performs in comparison, shown in the tables on the wiki.

While I think the CIV needs to be at the very least equal to the Leviathan, considering the extra effort we put in to get the recipes. I strongly believe, however, that if you're going to keep it as being the inferior sword, then the tool-tips [which, without any values given, are a little arbitrary I suppose] needs to indicate it's lower complete-level damage.

Thanks for the support.

Thanks for the support.

Indeed, the difference between the bars on the two items is so small I could barely believe that the CIC/CIV will actually do about 10-15% less damage on everything than the Lev.

Personally I prefer the lesser knockback on the CI line charge attack, but some people also find issue with that as well.

Bump. Cold Irons are crying

Bump.

Cold Irons are crying everywhere because they feel inferior to Leviathans, please don't make them suffer anymore. :(

In terms of damage potential, no.

Full Skolver + Barb shield = max sword damage to all enemies. Which would you take, the Levi or the CIV?

Here are the facts.

Damage: Levi > CIV
Damage vs Undead: CIV > Levi
Knockback: Levi > CIV

The damage bonus on the CIV comes from a "free" UV, but when you have full sword damage, all the CIV gains is +19.5%, while the Levi gains +39%. Take a look at which does more damage, and gains a greater percentage bonus. Keep in mind, this is also for ALL enemies.

Consider the crafting tree of the Brandish: Combuster, Glacius, Acheron - these three blades are entirely balanced to each other. They do the same damage per cut, they do the same knockback, they do the same three explosions per charge attack.

Either the CIV and Levi MUST be entirely different, or they must be more similar. Personally, if the CIV had an additional chance to Stun with each strike, I'll be happy with the rest. As it is, it's an inconsistency in the game that should be addressed.

Yeah, I'd be happy with it if

Yeah, I'd be happy with it if it had some other useful trait. Perhaps less charge time since its Charge Attack has a lot less knockback? It's also sort of lame that sword bonus damage doesn't stack with other bonus damage mods, too.

Edit: Also, according to the Wiki the Lev has potential to do more damage even to undead. At the very least almost equal. Statistically, there's no reason to use the CIV even on undead since it will never make a difference in the amount of hits it will take to kill a monster.
