Okay, I've had a hunt around the forum, but I can't find anyone else talking about this.

I bought a couple of trinkets with tokens before I realised you had to buy trinket slots separately, and since I'm a very casual f2p player I can't be bothered forking out hard-won CE for something that's only gonna vanish again after a month. Now, I'm not bothered about those initial couple of trinkets, but since then I've picked up a high-value trinket from a monster-drop, and it's just sitting in my inventory gathering dust. I'm probably never gonna use it, but it auto-bound when I picked it up, so I can't sell it either, even tho the cash it would bring would get me lots of CE & crafting. I may well be missing something obvious, but it seems to me a little unfair that I'm stuck with something I've never equipped, and likely never will.

When the unbind center comes

When the unbind center comes out, see if you can unbind it. Also, what IS the trinket?

150 CE isn't that much. I have 4 trinket and weapon slots in my arsenal.

What really shines about

What really shines about spiral knights is the gameplay. What doesn't shine is the economy, mostly resulting from it being an f2p game.

This problem resulted from the companies efforts to balance the economy towards more players needing to buy energy. You can't really blame a company for that.

I'm guessing that "high value trinket" is one of the heart pendants dropped by a Love Puppy. At one time, there was an exploit that allowed people to farm large numbers of those things to sell, and OOO initially responded to the exploit by making them bind-on-acquire.

If they've fixed the exploit, then they really should change this behavior on those items. But until they do, you're stuck with it.

Yup, that's the one - it's a dual heart pendant. And just to be clear, I completely support the efforts to balance out the game for all players. I get why folk like to buy their way into higher levels, but for me that kinda ruins the whole point of playing the game ... y'know, the actual *playing* part. I really enjoy SK, and have no problem grinding my way to whatever I want to craft, but it's really just a bit of a tease knowing I have this thing sitting in my inventory doing nothing, when I know it's worth a fortune.

Ah well, back to the grind, I guess!

If the pendant was not bind

If the pendant was not bind on pick up it would be worth a ton less.
