Well I think the GM's learned a lesson tonight - that there are ways to get past the language filter so I suggest you go ahead and snap to it and block those ways too. :D
Congrats GM's

You know you can voluntarily disable it right? Even if you have it disabled, those with theirs enabled still see only censored text.
Purposely getting past it when enabled is a wonderful way to a temp ban.
I keep mine turned off, yeah. I occasionally cuss among friends.
Really don't understand the point of making this thread.
Believe me, the GMs are quite aware of all the ways to get around a swear filter, and could likely teach you a thing or two about it!
The filter isn't there to make it okay to swear on Spiral Knights, nor is it there to prevent every single naughty sentiment from appearing in-game. The swear filter is there for players who prefer not to see obscenities, but who happen to run into another player who breaks the rules. Swearing is still a Terms of Service violation.

Omg I want to learn <3 Eurydice your so epic with your posting .... btw I am a fast learner I say we all meet up haven 45 in the little grassy area 2morro set a time =)
Do you like cussing, Peter? I think you do.
EDIT: Nvm, question answered, but yes, I can see where your bias comes from.
why would you need to go around the filter when you can either disable it, or not swear ?
...
Of course there are ways to get past the language filter.
However, a filter that's strict enough to catch these things would, of course, catch all sorts of false positives.
And a filter that gets in the way of people not being able to say perfectly ordinary things would be a lot worse than one that people can still cuss around by creative work.
A filter that catches "casual cussing" that can be turned off, and complaint reports for people who try to get around it, is probably better than some sort of predictive super-filter that keeps me from being able to talk about perfectly ordinary things.
